hello Devil Dogs, Today, 10November 2007, we celebrate 232 years of Marine Corp Pride, heritage, Honor and Accomplishment. The true band of brothers is as strong, if not stronger now then it has ever been and we are so very blessed to be a member of this Great fraternity. I am so proud to have to served and I am also even more proud of our brothers and sisters who continue to hold up the blood stained bainner and fight on today!!
We pray that a day will come where no more war is needed and the words of our Marine Corp Rifleman Creed can truly hold true, "till victory is America's and there is no enemy but peace"
Take care and God bless and keep you all God bless the world, The Marine Corp, and God bless America!!!!

This is one of my favorite poems by William Ernest Henley, I hope you will enjoy it also, take care and God bless;
"Out of the night that covers me, Black as the Pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of Circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of Chance My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul." Thanks for reading all and more to come later, nos vemos Biggs
Without a dought, my number one problem with fff, is the plastics. No I don't mean the bags that you but in the trash cans, I mean people who pretend to be real, or friends or nice and you find out that they are not real. They pray on information, so that they can someday try to use it against you.
Plastic people are an epidemic it seems on fff. So many seem to be genuine and then they run off the few good people we actually have that are true friends. Plastic people are hard to spot at first but give them time and they reveal their true nature to you and then you know, "yeap, they are plastic. I can say for sure that I am not plastic. My pic is really me, I am sincere in all that I say and do here. I consider everyone I meet to be a friend until proven otherwise. So friends, don't let the plastic ones ruin fff for you. there are some very good and nice people here and they can make visiting this site really great for us all.
I would name a few but I wouldn't want to leave anyone out. So just know that if you ever need a friend that is here to help lift your day or even make you laugh or smile for just a little while, you got a friend in me. Thanks for reading and take care and God bless us all, and keep us all, your friend, Biggs
"An Affair to Remember" is a movie staring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. The movie was made in 1957. It is a great great love story and it is a great performance by the two lead actors. If you haven't had the opportunity to see the movie, I will give you a brief summary.
The Grant and Kerr charaters meet on a cruise ship by accident and find that they have so very much in common. They are both involved with others so jus causally past off that they may never meet again and decided to set a date 6 months later if they are still attracted to one another. They say they will meet on the top of the Empire State Building in New York if neither is seeing someone else. Grant is free and goes there on feb.14 to hope that Kerr will be there. Kerr is excited and on her way when she is hit by a car and paralized. Grant not knowing this waits for her all night and is heart broken that she doesn't show.
A little time goes on and niether settles down but grant i very mad over what may have happened to Kerr and eventually gets the chance to find out she is staying somewhere and visits. She invites him in but offers no excueses for her absence. He Is mad and nearly leaves, but finally realizes that she is parralized and she tells him what happened, they fall into each others arms and promise never to leave each other again.
Its so beautiful to think that after all the obstacles and circumstances that true love does win out in the end. it is also so wonderful because you know that they will forever be happy and in love. We all deserve a love like that and I pray you all will have one also(not that they should be paralized though). Thanks for reading and take care and God bless and keep you all, oh yeah, don't forget to check it out, "An Affair to Remember" Biggs
I often see people complain about so many different things; Why is life so hard/why is my life the way it is? Why don't I get this or that? Why is someone else so much luckier than I? etc . ..
The thing that amazes me the most is that they don't really realize how great and pleasant life is and how much we are truefully blessed. It is one thing to be disabled(from not having complete use of ones ablities), but it is another to not use them on your own. When I look at life, the things I have, want, need, don't have, or desire, I think of how great it is that we all have the gift of life and not much else is greater than life. I think of how great it is that I can see so many amazing things and meet so many great friends and just all the blessings that I have today. We are all blessed and so nothing is as bad as it seems.
I hope you feel so too and Take care and thanks for reading. God bless and keep you all, YOur friend, Biggs
I often find myself asking questions about different things that I have done and thinking why I did what ever it is that I did.
We get one life and Our decisions often make the other choices in life easy or harder. Even so we never get the chance to go back and correct mistakes or to change the choices that we made, so naturally we will make a lot of mistakes in this life.
With all that being true, I feel we should never look back and ask why we have done or said something. Just live the best yo can and do as much as you can to be correct and not make bad mistakes. Then no one can fault you.
I am pasaway. I hope you are too, take care and God bless, your friend, Biggs
I don't know the exact numbers, the planes, the people, or even the buildings. But I do remember the events of September 11, 2001. I remember the shock, the horror, the pain, the frustration, the bitterness, and all the mixed emotions that I felt that day, that hour, that minute of the attacks.
I remember all the flags and the great ceremonies from politican to sports and all in between. I remember how much everyone claimed that we would be forever changed by those events and the losses of the loved ones that were felt that day. Though we have lost so many, I also know that even though they are gone from this day, they will always be with us in our hearts, our spirits and the way that we live.
We are divided but united, we are not lost but through our suffering we are strong. I pray for all who lost love ones on that day. We may not see it but we will always be together in spirit. God bless you all and God bless the world and America!!! Take care and God bless, Your Friend, Biggs
I joined the United States Marine Corp. I joined because it was always a dream of mine to serve in the United States military, but even more so, A dream to one day wear a uniform of A United States Marine. I didn't really know what all that meant, growing up. I do know what that means to me now, after serving and leaving the service.
A term often applied to Marines is the term Jarhead. It is refered to Marines because of two reasons really. It was said that the term means that a Marine(because of the hair cut) had a jar place on their head and then given their hair cut. It is also said that Marines head are empty as a Jar and need to be filled.
Either way, I think that I love to be called a Jarhead because it connects me to the Great and Tremendous history of warriors that have come before me and to those that may come after me. It gives me a legacy of pride and inspiration to know all the great men that are also Jarheads, were Jarheads, and the Great men and women to come that will also be Jarheads.
As we approach another aniversay of September 11th, it is always inspirational and so humbling for us to pause and give praise to all of our men and women who served, and serve in the Military. I say a OOOh Rah to you Marines and God bless and thank and keep you all that serve. Thanks for all that you do and may God bless and keep you all. I must also pray for the families still dealing with the aftermath of the tradgetic September 11th attacks. We keep you in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers. God bless you and God bless America.
Do a good deed and hug a Jarhead when you see one. Thanks for reading and God bless and keep you all, your friend,
Hi, all I was just wondering, if someone is not outwardly(meaning their physical apperance in their pic on their profile or in person) attractive to you or to your ideas of what you want for a mate, is it possible that you could be in a relationship with that person.
I am interested because, I am planning on starting a new profile with no pic and see just how much the different responses are from people here, from the responses that I get, when I know that they can see that I do have a pic and see what I look like. I am sure that people for the most part, get more responses with a pic, than people with no pic.
it is often said that true beauty is from within, but if that is so then why is it that the best actors, singers, entertainers and professionals in almost every field are the people that have the most outer beauty? FFF says that at least 10 times more views for people with pics than for people with no pics.
You can't read my profile, read my description and no amount of bloggs will allow me to demonstrate just who I am on the inside, so why do profiles with gorgeous pics get so many more views, are we all shallow Maybe, maybe not, but if you have this idea of a mate and you begin with, "Goodlooking, hansome, cute, attractive, sexy, . . .etc" then you begin looking for someone in a shallow way?
After all, the personality will make them compatable to you or not, no matter how beautiful their outward apperance may be.
Take care and Thanks for reading, God bless and Keep you all, your friend Biggs
