definition of humor/ websters 1hu·mor noun \ˈhyü-mər, ˈyü-\ : a funny or amusing quality : jokes, funny stories, etc., of a particular kind : the ability to be funny or to be amused by things that are funny i copied an pasted websters definition. this so as to present the correct meaning of the word as determined by experts. many tend to schew the meaning an take liberties with its meaning as well as how to use it. i write this blog for a few reasons. through out my life. i have been a less that freindly person, too serious, hung up on work, little time to smell the roses. some years back, i went thru an series of things that left me drained an weak. ill not go into any of them. it serves no purpose. after i got back to some sense of a normal life. i was humble yet vindictive for what i deemed as being used, hurt, done wrong, etc. classic case of wallowing in self pity. my faith was taxed. i finnal realized OUR LORD HAD ENDURED ON THE CROSS THAN WE CAN EVER IMAGINE. HE DID IT DUE TO HIS LOVE OF US. HE HAD COMMITTED NO SINS HE WAS HOLY AN PURE. YET HE WAS BEATEN LASHED AN HUNG ON THE CROSS AT CALVERY. once i realized this an became aware my problems, yet not fair, was minor compared to no only WHY HE SUFFERED FOR US but what others suffer. i became very humble an ashamed. my life changed. i be came very out going, friendly met no strangers an joked with any an all. since that time i have had things that created issues for me. my humor tends to offend. some find no humor in it. before u say it, yes some is, " green" , naughty. how ever i never mean in any way to offend any one.my position is if i offend u, please tell me . i have no problem apolgizing or changing my topic or way i joke. iam in no way trying to excuse an mistakes i make with humor. i guess im trying so hard to make up for the years i was a sad un freindly person. now ilove life an have fun. i love to laff an make , or try to, make other laff. ill share one incident man y years back. this was before i worked in a jail. i was in charge of a whse dist center here in my town. i had over 200 folks working for me. i joked an carried on. they knew i enjoy my life an wanted them to enjoy working there. how ever they knew if they made anmistake that created a major issue i was not a kind person. never abusive only to point out no to repeat the same one. i was freindly to male as well an ladies. it was not uncommom for me to hug the ladies whne arriveing or if some thing like b day or baby born. one lady she was much younger, took offensive to me hugging her. she filed a complaint an i was demoted. was i guilty???. yes. OF BEING FREINDLY. it ruined me emotionally an took me long time to recover. i tend to get my feelings hurt now if some thing i said im jest/humor offends some one. i tend to for get that my humor becomes naughty an offends. as a dear freind here on fff told me. words typed doesn show emotion no way to see the persons face or in what context it was written. even haveing had my humor taken wrong i persevere. life has been good to me. even with the trials an tribulations.i enjoy my freetime an set no strong agendas. i am sure some will say ur creating ur own problems. I PLEAD GUILTY. my failed attempts at humor mostly are when the naughty part is involved. WHAT U SAY, IF SO JUST ELIMINATE THAT. again i agree. funny thing..... many times when that happens. iam only following the flow of the chat or conversation. i feel at times some maybe dont elxpect the comments to their words. how ever, im still me an im not going to change. i will nver offend or be mean or rude to any lady. unless she begs me hehehehe. sorry for long blog. i wanted to share this in the event we are in chat or im . i am 69 years old far froma saint. yet i have manner an respect. too all waking to read this, eat first dont read this on m t tummy. heheheh     .[/COLOR] RAVE ON |
