That Desire.

A friend: " I will still look for love even if I'm in my 80's".
Me: "Will someone still be interested at 80?"

At some point in our lives we all have desired for something. We desire different things at different stages of our lives. That desire may have been fulfilled, just outgrow it , surpass it , bury it or still hope for it. Perhaps keep it a secret the rest of our lives.

Desire is a a strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something to happen. For a it can be a toy or a playtime. For teenagers it can be an adventure or a gadget like a cellphone. For young adults it can be a degree, a job or a partner. For couples it can be a marriage, own family or home. It's different for each of us.

I believe it is right for me to say that members here have almost the same desire, we desire a relationship. We may have different meanings of the word relationship, but basically to have a romantic connection with someone. I know there are many here who have been members for many many years, they may have found someone but somehow did not work out and so are back again to fulfill that desire. Perhaps others just want a mere online connection that's why they are here. Others may have been here for that long because they are still hoping that their desire will still be fulfilled. That desire is still burning.

I hate to admit that I long to be with someone. I have these desire to love and be truly loved. This is one desire that I honestly want it to go away, I want it to pass, I wan't it to vanish. ASAP. Perhaps I am saying that out of frustrations and my lack of faith from dating sites. I like the hope in finding someone to go away soon and be able to accept it and raise my hand in surrender. I like all the negativity to come out of me and repel this desire. I truly want to get rid of this desire.

Will this desire ever die? How? When? Have you ever had same thoughts or is it just me?

Ta Jane that's why I get frustrated because it won't die , I want to be content with myself and with being alone. I want to get rid of it for good.

    Quoting  :

Tinks I have temp solution by keeping myself busy and distracted and focusing on others than myself but at the end of the day when everything is done then that desire or wish comes back. I guess it's human nature like the saying no man is an island. I guess it will die and I will get over it like all other hurdles in life I have been through.
