It's how we say it.

"You're nothing but a second rate, trying hard copy cat!" Sounds familiar? For those who do not know, this is a famous line of actress Cherie Gil in the movie "Bituing Walang Ningning". Lately she has been claiming that it is her intellectual property. Really? What's with that line anyway? What's intelligent about that, you ask? If you have not seen the movie there's nothing really special about it. What made it famous in Philippines is the way it was said in the movie and the accompanying action to it. It made the actress and the scene memorable because of how the line was delivered. It made an impact to the viewing audience to this date.

This is one proof that what we say doesn't matter as much as how we say it. We can say sorry again and again but if you just say it for the sake of saying it then it doesn't really matter. We can say I love you a million times but if the actions don't come with it then it doesn't really mean anything. We can say I miss you , I want you or say anything we like but if we say it like we really mean it and show it with our actions then that's what matters. If we say something and do the opposite that's obviously bull shit. Like the old adage " action speaks louder than words." So it's not what we say that matters but how we say it. We can say something or express our feelings other than words. Like in Ronan Keating's song "You say it best, when you say nothing at all."

Well sadly it is more difficult in chat because there is no tone to it and can't see body language either. So if we really want to make an impact on what we want to say online we have to exert more efforts. Maybe show it or say it other than chat, find ways to express those words in other ways. I can name a few ways but the point is to show or prove your sincerity. Chat is cheap so they say. Some people have the gift of gab but we should go more for the actions rather than the dictions.

Have you got something to say? Please feel free to share it.

Hi Sherlock,
Thanks for the comment, I agree chat on cam can be better because somehow there is the tone and body language so it is one step up.

Hi Daniel, chat is nice it's fun too and can be a start but if someone wants a real relationship they need to step it up, unless of course they only want an online relationship with no intentions of meeting and being together then chat is fine. What is said in chat doesn't really have much meaning to it.
