The Unexpected Guest!

This is a reply to Kaye's "Creepy Ghost Stories".

Way back 2011,my eldest celebrated his natal day with some of his close friends right in the middle of our garden being one hot summer night.

The celebration started around 7 PM, and me, being the "Master" of the house, did take my breaks from viewing a local TV comedy show(Wow Mali)and went out occasionally of our house and checked the progression of the event, there might be some logistics needed, like cubes, appetizers and of course those bottles of beers,I was the event's sponsor for the night and I was obliged to supply the needs.

It was one of those moments that I saw my youngest mingling, sitting in on a chair in between the guests, still donning the black suit i bought him,he seemed to be enjoying the occasion,as clearly manifested by his wide grins and an smiling face.

I knew he was not drinking,he knew he was still too young at 15 years old to enjoy such liberties.

I was dumbfounded for a moment,I was not expecting he would attend
his's brother's birthday celebration, because he was not informed nor been invited.

After regaining my senses,I tried to be calm and it was in that moment I felt a sudden surge of "Gladness" embracing my whole being."I'm glad he came" I said to myself.

Glancing again to the direction where my youngest was seated,I could still see him sitting in on a chair, smiling and at one point and time, I happened to see him looking towards my direction.

I wanted to utter a word and call out his attention, but,I became speechless, nothing came out of my mouth, but deep inside and i knew I was so glad he came and showed himself before us, imagine ,after so many years that we missed him that much.

I wished he would stay with us a little longer, but he did not,he just stayed with us for about half a minute.

BTW, my youngest was no longer living with us.He passed away many years back (2007).

Jorge that is so touching, my maternal instinct makes me feel like crying. I wish for someone from another life will visit me too but I better be careful what I wish for.
