Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww Nice BFF.. I love Stollen..... but we used to sock with Rum a few weeks before.. a traditional way of X Mas Stollen............
In S'pore we got the street Deco in different places on different occations........ Orchard is famous for X Mas and New yeaar Decoroationsnnnnnn I may post if I get a new one

I think stollen is the equivalent of fruit cake?, the longer it is stored, the better the taste...yes, here in our area, they started to put ornaments and lighted stars in the middle of our streets, beautiful at night And christmas trees are real so you can imagine the scent it gives off...

 I guess, when faced with difficulties in life, and with global economic crisis, WE, Christians express our hope for a much better year ahead of us by decorating more and display that CHRISTMAS SPIRIT...My neighbors already have their homes interiorly and exteriorly decorated since last week! Normally, this happens after the THANKSGIVING...but, now, they do it so early, it is contagious and I feel like I want to decorate too!

True, we always keep that hope alive in our hearts for better year to come. As early as October, in the shops I see already those xmas sweets and goods too. I`ll probably start decorating this week, maybe the simple ones..and the traditional xmas tree. I used to have real tree with real candles but then prices also gets high every year annd last only 2 to 3 weeks until the needles fall off, the work and attention for having a real candle seem not practical for kids I would say...

Tess, how are you? ...yes, beautiful scenery and the vendors make an effort to wear those costumes, magical and attractive to look at...some products like "nutcracker" you see them only during this time, they get expensive too.
My ex taught me before to shop after xmas, say bet. 26th to 29th, then you get your money`s worth as you get half the price... of course, for next year`s use

I walked past the Christmas market today. It opened this past weekend and sells similar stuff you mentioned sis.
