The Rose

Some say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed.

Some say love, it is a hunger,
An endless aching need.
I say love, it is a flower,
And you its only seed.

It's the heart afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance.
It's the dream afraid of waking
That never takes the chance.

Grace,

Rose is so beautiful and associating with a love. The fragrants of happier time, and the thorns of painful memories. So, many times wanting to retire from love. But, i think not i welcome it with arms wide open...

Greatest feelings in the world when two souls profess a love for each other...

you know, something I do when I feel like "spoiling" myself: put many rose petals in my bath, rose liquid soap and enjoy the candle burning while reading my favorite book, that feels good afterwards

I also find it fascinating sis....maybe your familiar with that children`s rhyme song goes like these:

"have you ever seen a rose in the snow,
i`ve never seen the answer is no,
how can a rose grow in the snow
when it`s too late for it to grow"

something like that and so motivated me to do experiment and no, they don`t really grow anymore but it preserves the vibrant red color in shimmering snow flakes....for sometime
