lost or stolen...

I just can't believe the week been having. Badluck in the love depot and losing my iphone. Noon mass was the last i saw of my iphone turning the sound off so not to disturb while the mass was going on. I went to get my communion bread and left my bag where my iphone was inside by the kneeler and had it against there. Came home nada. And been turning my room inside out to see if it's dropped on the floor, under the bed. What really bothers me is why or how come they have to steal inside the church??? I just don't get it. Feeling the remorse and grief all at the same time is killing me. One is a person and the other a material object. I called the lady Michele at church and will try to get back at me around 4pm. Anyways, i can't buy one too darn expensive. My sonny is the one buying them for me. Just not having any luck the first one he bought 3G died before the 18 month deadline. This second one stolen inside the church. I just don't get life anymore...

Sorry to hear 'te Tess. Of all places it had to go missing in a church.

I understand those phones are expensive and you're probably quite attached to it as it could function more than a phone with additional accessories like calculator, alarm clock, personal PA schedule diary etc.

Coincidentally the other half's phone wasn't responding to my calls this week and his phone showed it was on and working as normal. A few days later his phone today was only responding to emergency calls. He thinks his phone just died and gave up coz of its age.

Hence why, him and I prefer to buy brick and old fashioned mobile phones because we could drop it as much as we like and won't feel as much pinch in the pocket, if we lose or break it or when it suddenly stops working. Besides I use it mostly for calls, texts and alarms.

Maybe save the expensive phone for home use and buy a very basic phone for outdoor use.

within each one of us, and let it begin with me (and each one of us)..one breath at a time.

Hey Tess, We don't get trials unless we can bear it. There is a reason why things happen. That phone may save the thief's life, he can use it in emergency with the apps like GPS and it's a grace for you. It's a material thing that can be replaced, maybe not immediately. I know it was an I Pad that cost the life of a guy when he resisted the mugger who wanted it. But it can happen with the IPhone. Who knows, losing it may be a blessing in disguise.

What you lost today can be much lesser that what you'll receive tomorrow

Janey,

I had wanted to take pictures of the vietnamese girl dancing the flower dance. But, didn't. I called AT&T, they had few suggestion like go get a go phone and the sim card is free. Or buy a refurbish one, etc. But, cannot buy an iphone til May next year. The lady at church left a message saying no one has turned any phone yet. Just too weird for my own good.

Kabert,

I know my mom always answers with better to loose all my ring than moi. It was a sign coz the last thing i did was delete all the text of this person wanting to forget before turning it off. Maybe sign who knows. Just losing faith that anyone can steal wherever they want.

Elz,

Sometimes i do take it with me, and other times just leave it down there. Kasi i don't carry too much cash. But, why didn't they just take every thing and only the phone??? Paris is hard to think of people stealing there.

Mindy,

I feel like crying but not. It's more of disbelief. Now, if the same thing happen to me as in your case. I would be screaming and having a tantrum big time. I just hope it's lost here in my house...

Grace,

Thanks. Just feel so weird like those withdrawal symptoms. That phone became a part of me. All hours of the day and nite. I'll be fine.
