the lover... Well this was the secret santa's gift to me. Watch it a little past midnite til 2am in the morning. It left such a sad feeling of regret and remorse. The bitter pill to swallow of a love that can never be. The scene was set in Saigon in the twenties. She came from a trailer trash background after her father died her mom got swindled. The chinese man was debonair and rich. Prejudice and culture reigne over their love. That can never be. He was bethrowed to another chinese lady. That the family had already made the arrangements. She was only 17 yrs old and he 32yrs old. He spoke to his dad. After his mom died, the dad had laid down for 10yrs conducting his business in his bed and smoking opium. The irony of it all was the was explaining that his love is only once in a life time and he shouldn't take it away from him. But, the dad say's "i'd rather see u dead than to marry her". How many loves have passed this crossroad in life. Where for eternity they will love the person that they cannot have. There were so many various touching scenes, where he says for once "she came there for his money, ...". The other one was he was smoking opium telling her "i will die loving you". Addiction took over because he felt numb that he had never met or slept with her. Only to wake up to the disillusionment of it can never be. Feeling the pain literally dying spirit of love. And at the end calls her up to say he still loved her... This movie left a remarkable association to my life. The love that can never be and telling someone i will love them for eternity. Sis, I know it's just a movie, but it got to me so badly! Love that song from the Carpenters. Loving someone that deeply and after the marriages and divorces. That love never dies. Settling for something just to hold onto. Who in the world would settle for something so profound when they have tasted the best? Anyways, that's another movie drama. hehehehe  Wish you a joyous New Year Greatest feelings in the world when two souls profess a love for each other...

my ultime fav ero film i saw it in original version (french) happy new dear tess I love the movie and how my secret santa went out of her way to get it. The sadness took over me. It's like been dying to get this video and was watching it on you tube. Then finally seeing the whole movie. Cried at 2am in the morning, and again waking up, etc. Three days of sadness??? Somehow associating my life with the movie. Funny thing is a rich chinese never asked me to marry him. Drama and senti affect. Star crossed lover doom for all eternity. Happy New Year!!!
