 Phoebe,

You are very brave!!! I can recall we went to Montgomery Ward store one time. We only had 4 toddlers. As soon as we got off the escaltor going up. Them little critters started spreading in all directions and they had those velcro cuff ons kinda rope. My auntie was in shambles which ones to chase. hahahahaha Life is so funny. Thanks for my laugh for the day. Enjoy your vacation!!!

last time i went out for a walk i had just the 4, two of them are in the double buggy (pram) and the other two were walking holding on to the buggy so we were fine. i think taking 6 is too much, they know im outnumbered so they took advantage. never again!!

 I can totally relate. Walking around with many kids at once dying to run out the road by themselves to be independent is a nightmare. I normally use a leash on the kids to prevent them from running away quickly.

This is what I'll be doing soon if I get the go ahead from the new headmaster of my former high school. I'll be around many brats. Hopefully nice brats. ...can't wait, but have to wait until it's for real.

Don't count the chickens until they hatch.

i have a few leash in the house but i try to avoid using it. i wanna establish/ teach the children about trust. normally before i go out with them i brief them as to what we are going to do and i tell them my ecpectations and if they dont meet my expectations there are consequences and if they are good there is reward. however that day, all my experience/ trainings went out of the window. no briefs therefore the children dont know what to expect so they do as they wish.

as for the leash, like i said i try and avoid using it if i can, its not right! lol i feel like taking the dogs out for a walk! but then again, if i have to choose between keeping the kids safe or risk being run over by a car, bring on the leash. its all about balance and of course using my common sense
