thoughts on DEATH

One cannot really understand death unless one has experience dying. What we see are vestiges of it, and what we grieve about is idea of its negativity. This producing the unfortunate result of impassioned, hpocritical grief. But that is not to say that we are unallowed to mourn.

Let me elucidate! What people fail to recognize is the positivity of death- not as an escape route to life- but as something that heightens our appreciation of life. We cannot define the one without the other, much less appreciate them. The positivty of death sprngs from its conection with life. It resuscitates our waning desire to live because we want to find personal validation from our pursuits. And all of these boils dwn as a matter of choice- but that is another story... :
