 Watching movies is one of my favorite pastimes. I have a lot of favorite movies among them "Brave Heart", "Saving Private Ryan", The Patriot", "You Got Mail", "While You Were Sleeping", "Mrs. Winterbourne"...and the list goes on. The thing about movies is that they somehow reflect our lives (present or past) and leave messages that make lasting impressions in our lives. One of my all time favorite is "Patch Adams" which starred Robin Williams. I'm sure most of you remember that movie. It delivers a powerful message of how to just be silly and break the rules when it's in the best interest of everyone. it also says that laughter is the best medicine anyone could ask for. Here is one of the memorable quotes from the movie Patch Adams: " What are we so mortally afraid of? Why can't we treat death with a certain amount of humanity and dignity, and decency, and God forbid, maybe even humor. Death is not the enemy gentlemen. The film No Country for Old Men. the scene at the aftermath of the gunfight massacre in a drug deal gone wrong with no last man standing alive. Surveying the scene of blood, drugs, utes and bodies is Sheriff Bell and Deputy Wendell on the plains of South Texas near Sanderson. Deputy Wendell: Its a mess aint it Sheriff! Sheriff Bell: If it ain't it will do until the mess gets here! Took the words right out of my mouth!
