FFF CHATTING ETIQUETTE

Time and again, we become irritated by some members here who don't really know the meaning of chatting etiquette. Everyone here deserves respect. No matter what your sexual orientation is, no matter what gender or sex you belong to, no matter what the age bracket you fall under, we all have the right to be respected.

If you want to add to the following list of etiquettes, you are very much encouraged to do so.

1. Always remember that you are chatting with a person, a human being who has feelings and emotions too. You are not chatting with the computer screen but weith a person... not an object.

2. Be polite in conversation. Do not monopolize nor answer too much yes or no. You're not a robot, nor the person you're chatting with.

3. Do not ask for pictures if you yourself has no picture posted on your profile. If you want a picture from the person you are talking to, ask if he/she wants to see how you look like and share your picture first.

3. Use your own picture...not the picture of actors or some other personalities. If you are not comfortable with it, decline politely to your chatmate.

4. If you do not like the looks of the person you are chatting with after seeing his/her picture, do not be rude and just leave him/her at an instant. Chatters are human beings not some kind of a tv show which you can change the channel the moment you don't like what you're seeing.

5. Don't call someone babe, baby, or other names if you do not know the person well or you have not chat with him/her that long. It's ok if he/she is comfortable with it though. Accept the fact though, that the Philippine culture is much different from the others.

i will add more to this next time...

Thank you for the comment. At last someone took noticed of my post...lol. Anyway, I apologize for not being able to read this before. To answer your question about the "baby..et. al" in my culture, calling someone "baby, babe" is I guess ok for some modern Filipinos...but basically we don't use those words for those people whom we do not really feel closed to.
