Chinese workers stage strike
Over 300 Chinese workers Monday staged a demonstration in front of the Chinese Embassy in Yarmouk in protest against their companies, which had not paid their salaries for several months. Upon receiving information about the demonstration, securitymen rushed to the scene only to find the workers lying on the ground in front of the Chinese Embassy.
While the protesters demanded a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to ask him to ensure their salaries were sent to China according to the Chinese system, Consular at the Embassy Abdul Rahman Ismael met the workers and asked them to go back to work. Three buses were brought to take them to their work site.
