7/4/2009 4:12 am	I think it's a shame that the media's new-found love of Michael has come when it has. It is sad to think that Jackson died before he could see all this outpouring of love, appreciation and acceptance. But I guess it is like this with a lot of very talented people; they are not appreciated in their own time. Take Vincent Van Gogh, for example. His work was not recognized while he was alive but his name is now synonymous with world-renowned artistry. Or for a more basic example, listen to how well people speak of the dead - especially at their funerals. They only remember the good they have done, the people they have touched and the aspects of their personalities that were thought to be vices while alive, are turned into virtues after their passing. This is exactly what is happening in the media now. Michael Jackson is remembered for his unforgettable performances, innovative style and incredible dance moves. His once 'bizarre' behavior is recollected as eccentric and childlike with an emphasis on the difficult childhood he lived through. Where was all this approval before?

ronlim 40 posts  8/29/2009 8:20 am	some people dnt gve attention to their love ones in their lifetime.. but when one dies a bucketfull of tears flows and bunch of flowers laid in honor... why not gve love n flowers while at his/her lifetime for them to appreciate.. maybe this is happening coz people now r more materially centered rather than being spiritual. people r more focus on things that can be seen which is temporal rather than things which cnt be seen which is eternal.. thanks R O N
