Once In A Blue Moon

Once in a blue moon, I guess that is how former active bloggers are going to be here. I can only reminisce the good times when FFF members are numerous and very active in exchanging meaningful, worthwhile reading blogposts and comments. When I visit this website these days, I feel sad and very nostalgic of those days. What happened really? What caused the death of Bloglandia? Why is it that the good ones needed to leave this place? Was it merely the outcome of evil force(s) which drove real members to go away trying to keep their sanity and self respect? Did anyone really benefit from the so called "monopoly" ? The outcome of those unnecessary fights and name calling speaks for itself. Someone or most members finally got tired. Yes, the theater is still open .... But void of real audience. The silence is deafening that no matter how a few remaining loyal members try to revive this place, it looks like a lonely graveyard. Even the moon turned blue .....

Elz, for me one great thing about the old times is the inspiration I get from the blogs that I read then. It sort off prompts me to write my ideas related to their blogs. And post them as blogs. Nowadays all I read are silly, sometimes funny posts and some that are just lifted from other writers without any reference to them. I miss the bloggers who had a great command of the language whether English or Tagalog, those with vivid description of surroundings and those that made you feel what they were feeling.

I guess this is just me. Others enjoy what they write in any manner or form. I should stop longing for the past.

Ka Bert. I feel you. Because we can relate to those outpour of real time emotions and real life experiences that were shared publicly. Something that we can learn from and maybe empathize at times sympathize. There is this emptiness that I feel each time I come back. Sometimes it is just a consolation reading back the old masterpieces of anguish, longing, love that was lost and love that was found. The literary prowess of the bloggers in their respective styles were truly amazing. (Sigh)

Just call me ELZ

I got your reply Elz. I guess posting is slow on weekends.

I agree with you. Sometimes I read my old blogs and I wonder how I was able to write them with some silliness in some of them with emotion on the others. I wish I can remember the names of the bloggers who wrote out their soul and emotions because of circumstances in their lives. I hope they are still well today.

Please write more blogs, you're on my radar.
