Happy Easter!

The Philippines, being a Catholic country, observes the Holy Week (Semana Santa). Thus, it is a 4-day off from work from Holy Thursday to Easter Sunday. Most of the commercial establishments are closed on Holy Thursday and Good Friday.

Others take the opportunity to go on vacation during these days. Beaches and resorts are mostly booked during this season.

And today, Saturday, most of the shopping centers, especially the supermarkets, are filled with people. Some are preparing for Easter, when Christ rose from the dead. It is a tradition among Filipino families to gather on such occasions.

Most of the activities are centered at bus and airport terminals. One would see passengers sleeping on benches waiting for their trips to leave.

Such is a Filipino tradition.

Let us understand the meaning of the Passion of Christ. It is in his death that we are saved.

 i think for christians Easter si special one but for non-christians is just another day...
