And to think, I wanted a stupid bicycle ........

I think that most of us take our health for granted. I remember when I was a little boy, my GrandMother used to tell me "You're so fortunate, you are healthy when so many are not."

I used to dismiss that and think to myself "GrandMother, geez, I'd rather have a new bike than good health."

As I've grown older, I've realized that all the things that my GrandMother taught me were very valuable lessons about life and I've also learned to appreciate things that .... once upon a time .... I took for granted. Good health being, not the least of them.

She used to say that "If a person has good health and good friends, they are truly blessed".

Although she died 40 years ago, memories of her often fill my thoughts. I can still hear her words, after all these years, but the difference is that now, I understand them.

To all of you, I say "Take better care of yourself and cherish your friends."

In closing, I wish that all of you would take the time, before 2008 comes to an end, to have a complete physical examination.

Do it for yourself as well as for those that love you.

Reading this I'm reminded by a book called "Things you learned in Kindergarten". It's about facts of life that one would be lucky enough to understand it during adulthood or later. It's really the simple things in life that if only applied, then we would have lesser troubles in life.

Thanks for the reminder, Wolfie. You're not a fierce, sly wolf after all.

Marie, it's nice to see you here. I've read the book that you referred to, many years ago ..... "All I Ever Really Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" by Robert Fulghum.

I'm glad you had a check-up a few months ago.

Keep a smile upon your face and a song in your heart.

See you down the Yellow Brick Road.

Thanks for the advise wolfie
I really hate it now...
that all the names in my phone book end with M.D.

I must be getting older

Hey seriously...we all have to do that
Health is wealth

Things to remember though...the secret of staying young is...
to live HONESTLY...
EAT slowly...and
LIE about your AGE!!!

HUSH!!!
