The July 18 Scare
What is this big fuss about the prediction of a popular Brazilian seer? As far as I know no one nor nothing yet up to present times had the ability to foretell the occurrence of an earthquake. Much more so where and what time this disaster will occur.

However, according to information I got via text, emails and coffee chats, whether its accurate or not, this Brazilian had foretold in the past big events that were disastrous in nature famous among them is the 9/11 fiasco.

I am not sure if at this point this had created panic but as fas as I had observed, Pinoys are more worried about the rising inflation, the weekend gasoline price increases, the taxpayer's money stolen by greedy government officials etc.

I had an impression that this could be another diversionary tactic that would shift attention to more scary situations here in this country. Besides, earthquake is nothing new to Pinoys. After the big typhoons,
and big vessels sinking, so what else is new?

But an earthquake with a magnitude of 8 is something very serious.
