this poem so touched my heart. You have a way of portraying your emotions in your poems that just draw the reader in... and strike a chord. A sad poem that you have so well written. Excellent.

I envy your family my father walk out on us and our family relations within aren't so great this was a truly great poem and you must have a really great dad.

I know the feeling you're feeling... My dad passed feb 12th this year.. and that's been the hardest thing for me and my siblings... there are 5 of us and a nephew all living together.. and my mom has to take care of us all... He was only 45.. he was far to young to leave us... I give you my deepest sympathy and condolences.

Omg, it takes a lot to make me cry, but that did it....... yes the poem is incredibly well written, but the emotions that pour from the words is just indescribably.... it makes me want to find you and give you a hug..

how sad to read this beautiful piece full of grief and sadness! I also lost my father when I was 6 years old! May be we "men" pretend to be stronger! but we do feel sad too
