Songs on my head... Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's Medley I had been browsing youtube today. Hey its a holiday!!!! On top of having my car fixed (which of course is not yet done, since Toyota dealership ordered a needed part), briefly working and submitting my review report to my former boss, I am keeping myself occupied by browsing the net and checking out songs. I went through my old posts in this blog... gee whiz, I got posts, way way back when. I already posted Kansas' Dust in the Wind years ago... A few days back, I shared this song to a friend. Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's Medley of the Over the Rainbow and What a wonderful world. God, I wish I could play a ukelele like some people I know. I think it is an uplifting song. Very calming too. However, I don't think its feasible to embed the video here in FFF. Oh well, reposting the lyrics "Somewhere Over The Rainbow / What A Wonderful World" Somewhere over the rainbow Way up high And the dreams that you dreamed of Once in a lullaby Somewhere over the rainbow Blue birds fly And the dreams that you dreamed of Dreams really do come true ooh oh Someday I'll wish upon a star Wake up where the clouds are far behind me Where trouble melts like lemon drops High above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me Oh, somewhere over the rainbow bluebirds fly And the dream that you dare to, Oh why, oh why can't I? Well I see trees of green and red roses too, I'll watch them bloom for me and you And I think to myself What a wonderful world Well I see skies of blue And I see clouds of white And the brightness of day I like the dark And I think to myself What a wonderful world The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky Are also on the faces of people passing by I see friends shaking hands Saying, "How do you do?" They're really saying, I...I love you I hear babies cry and I watch them grow, They'll learn much more than we'll know And I think to myself What a wonderful world world Someday I'll wish upon a star, Wake up where the clouds are far behind me Where trouble melts like lemon drops High above the chimney top That's where you'll find me Oh, somewhere over the rainbow way up high And the dream that you dare to, why, oh why can't I? I? To those who are interested to listen... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9b3_1CcXtY |

Love this song. Funny thing we are the same age. But , tragically died too young! Greatest feelings in the world when two souls profess a love for each other...
