It's snow joke On hearing that her elderly grandfather had just passed away, Katie went straight to her grandparent’s house to visit her 95 year old grandmother and comfort her. When she asked how her grandfather had died, her grandmother replied, "He had a heart attack while we were making love on Sunday morning." Horrified, Katie told her grandmother that 2 people nearly 100 years old having sex would surely be asking for trouble. "Oh no, my dear, " replied granny. "Many years ago, realizing our advanced age, we figured out the best time to do it was when the church bells would start to ring. It was just the right rhythm. Nice and slow and even. Nothing too strenuous, simply in on the Ding and out on the Dong." She paused, wiped away a tear and then continued, "And if that damned ice cream truck hadn’t come along, he’d still be alive today. within each one of us, and let it begin with me (and each one of us)..one breath at a time.

Won't you give it a try at least once to visit temporarily TaJane? You can always change your mind later and go back to the Tropics.   hehehe your nose might get rough, red and dry like rudolph in this weather. I feel sorry for those travelling to the areas where heavy snow is around. Taking at least twice as long to move around and get to their destinations. Sometimes they've had to give up trying coz their cars' traction can't handle it without extra grip on the ice and slushy snow, especially getting stuck uphill and going too fast downhill slipping and sliding. Relieved that I haven't had to travel much in it, except on Friday. Imagine sitting on the bus for 5 hours when it should take just over an hour. Same goes for cars.  within each one of us, and let it begin with me (and each one of us)..one breath at a time.

Oi..you want to talk about snow? You should come here and you will be positively sick of snow AND wind AND subzero temp. In the past month we had a snowfall of 25 cm one weekend, then 20 cm the next weekend, then 15 cm this past weekend. On top of that, the wind was over 70 klicks and the temp was -44 C with the windchill. I liked it though, very refreshing and exhilarating. Not so much the frostbite though. Good weather for skiing/snowboarding, but last time I did that i broke my leg so...yeah. I'd rather take this kind of weather than uber hot/humid though - at least you can bundle up with the cold; with the heat, you can be naked and still be hot as hell and sweaty. I know, I've done that before. And don't ask for pics...uhm, there aren't any. Yeah, none. at. all.  My will is unbreakable. Simply put, I cannot be broken - Enrique

The snow here where I am is nothing compared to the Scandinavian countries and other further up north countries like where you are. I wouldn't trade places with you quickly. Although, I'm eager to try out skiing and snowboarding. I was jelly/jealous when my NY filipina elementary school friend went over to Canada to do this for her birthday for the first time. We're about the same age. She's only a few months older. I hope she didn't break a leg like yourself. Careful next time. I hear ya. At least with the cold, you can always layer up and put heating on if you have to. Would rather save up on the oil and fire. It's very costly. Better to put more clothes on and cover self in blankets, use hot water bottles and spend more time in one room huddled up with the nearest and dearest. Preferably, the bed room as the electronic stuff like pc and Xbox360 warms up my room.  Frostbite??.... within each one of us, and let it begin with me (and each one of us)..one breath at a time.
