“Being blond makes people think they can pick on you, and I like when people think they can pick on me. You see, I have this handicap. Uh, that’s the wrong word. I am hormonally challenged. I am never afraid. I just don’t have the gene or whatever it is that makes you scared.

It’s not like I’ll jump off a cliff or anything. I’m not an idiot. My rationality is not defective. In fact, it’s extra good. They say nothing clouds your reason like fear. But then, I wouldn’t know. I don’t know what it feels like to be scared. It’s like if you don’t have hope, how can you imagine it? Or being born blind, how do you know what colors are?

I guess you’d say I’m fearless. Whatever fear is."

Janey,

One of my hero is my uncles. One that took the toy car from my throat when i was 2 or 3yrs old? And the other one that put our clothes in the suitcases because our house was about to burn down. Next day fly to America. Their action speaks louder than their words...

happy tuesday

Greatest feelings in the world when two souls profess a love for each other...

My hero had always been my DOG, Scoob. He would do anything for me. He watched me while sleeping, would wait patiently on the door when I get home, He wouldn't even mind or feel bad if I spanked him for his mischiefs. Instead, he would devour me with his kisses. His, was unconditional love, that most human beings are not capable of giving...

Just call me ELZ

Believe me I'd second thoughts....terrified. arggghh Uhhh I underestimated the height.
Didn't notice the cliff further down the path.

Similar to you sis Jean, I get seasick and car sick, especially when up high and would've to look forward and not look back and have windows open for air. But as you say it's good to get out of the comfort zone and weight out the risk.

Gosh thank God for your uncle and your saviours 'te. What would the world be without you? ...Sadder.

Do you remember the details at that age? You were so young. Some people have hardly any recollection of their childhood.

Actions can be more convincing than words alone without actions to support them.

By the way that quote is a reference from the book mentioned above.

You're totally correct kuya Dan about the view. You're on the right lines. Your imagination is spot on.

Thanks for sharing your definition of heroes. Superb.

"....heroes to me are the ones who put others before themselves in times of need, like the firemen and woman here, who were trying to save lives when the twin towers were hit, soldiers who try and help civilians that are in danger. doctors, nurses, volunteers, that try and save lives even if it means putting their own lives in danger. heroes to me are those who help the less fortunate the ones who cant help themselves, heroes are the ones who face danger to help others,.. heroes can be anyone who is leading by example, to do good or right, when there is no reward,.. but the self feeling of accomplishment,.. that they are doing what's right in their heart."

Wow so sweet your Dog is named Scoob. Nearly Scooby.
Yes that's how animal lovers feel. Unconditional love from their pets. That's why some people who have either chosen to be single or are left without an alternative but be single surround themselves with cats or whatever animal they're fond of.

Thanks very much for sharing sis Elz. Your comment wasn't visible earlier. Strange.

I don't think blond suits Asian skin tone.

Somehow some mixed race folks or people with black skin tone can get away with it more than Asians. For instance Beyonce could get away with it. Appears less tacky.

Saying that Asian with paler skin tone doesn't look too bad with blond hair.

How about who's your hero?

No wonder you're so positive and joyful sis Barz. The fact that your whole family inspires you and celebrates your weirdness is a massive deal.

Thanks for sharing.
