it sucks when things like this happen. fff is MY place, MY space. i allow ONE person i trust inow about it and things i write in it but that it. i am not comfortable everybody knowing about. i hope you find a way on how to gain your privacy back. you know i dont know the praying bit, but i am here for you always. about PLAGIARISM, i gave up on that. there are just a lot of people who have no shame in this site. like you i am forgiving of those other things from famous people being copy pasted but not with those blogs being copied from other sites and posted here and being passed off as theirs. im disgusted but there is nothing i can do. fff does not police those kind of things, and some bloggers are soooooo thick faced and no shame so they just do it. OI YOU!! I KNOW YOU ARE READING THIS. I CAUGHT YOU THE FIRST TIME. I BROUGHT THE REAL OWNERS OF THOSE BLOGS YOU COPIED, I KNOW YOU ARE STILL HERE AND YOU ARE STILL COPYING THINGS. YOU HAVE NO SHAME. YOU ARE NOT AS MYSTERIOUS AS YOU THINK YOU ARE. YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A SECOND RATE TRYING HARD COPY CAT ehehehhe ayos ba, lemme borrow your line ms gil!

Janey, like I said before, our original thoughts and even works, (including mine) will be appreciated, ridiculed, or if they like it, will be copied...even if they are copyrighted. THere are times too, that our own articles are ideas that we searched somewhere and have expounded by us. I will liken it to students who express what they've "learned" from their teachers. It will be an extreme violation if someone copies a poem, an article, an experience and puts his/her name under the article as his/her own.

As per dictionary :To plagiarize is to steal and pass off (the ideas or words of another) as one's own : use (another's production) without crediting the source intransitive verb to commit literary theft : present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source It will be extremely anal if all that we write here (for example a title of an article copied and yet thoughts and ideas are expounded/presented differently) will always be credited to the original author. Another way to put it is SINGING A SONG taken from a famous original singer/recording company. If it's a company to company, they pay "royalty" or pay copyrights, but what about us, common people? Are we going to prison just because we keep singing the same song without paying anything? And yet, we can claim: HEY IT"S MY VOICE, IT'S MY VERSION, not the original singer's style. But we know exactly what you are trying to convey. But ALL OF US, who publish our original works will run the risk of being "copied" elsewhere in this world...for who will monitor all throughout? Our simple original works and thoughts here might be published in another country and NO ONE KNOWS...Hence, vice-versa. I guess, if it's just here in FFF...or FB, if the intention of the person is to DELIBERATELY OWN someone's works (and not just forgetting or merely not giving credits to the original author), then, I'd say, it's a BIG DEAL..Like what Smiley said...Piracy is a common practice. And to put a little humor to this claim, I'd say, the worse FALSE OWNERSHIP that I know of is to CLAIM SOMEONE's HUSBAND/WIFE to be his/hers.... (pardon my typos)

On the other hand, the PRIVACY issue is a delicate matter. Like SMILEY, for example...here at FFF, she'd prefer to be addressed just like that, SMILEY and I give that to her....But over at FB, I've seen people, specially her relatives and close friends addressing her as herself, her real name/nickname.At FB though, we have the option to change our settings the way we want it privately. Again, talking about PRIVACY in this time, generation, age and technology, is quite impossible. FOr example, anyone's identity can be stolen by hackers, and computer geeks...Here in the USA, one only needs someone's social security number or driver's license number and whoaaaaaaaaah!...all the information about that person including bank accounts, credit cards, properties, etc. will be revealed...SCARY, ha?

Come to think of it...FFF allows too many ghost handles coming from the same IP address Do they have any control over this? I believe the answer is NO!, and neither do we...

So there you go, it is sad to say, but once you expose yourself, here in the cyberworld, whether it's your TRUE/REAL self or not, your works will be copied in part, or in whole, somehow, or you'll be partly guilty of doing the same..And the word "YOU" means ALL...myself, included.

we need to be careful here.

i wish people respect other people privacy ... we all like to have so call privacy... its like a house that we have a room and that room is our privacy... I'm guilty of risking my own privacy, but tried to close the door on certain individuals. Due to snooping, I was found, but she totally misread the purpose of my online presence.

Janey, This is totally scary??? Kinda like a stalker constantly trying to find you. Be careful and i'll be praying for you. Have a beautiful sunday. I try to be careful, but failed in some ways. Just when I thought I've already got ridden of harmful stalkers. Stalkers in the real world are more physically intimidating and will sometimes present themselves as someone ordinary and pleasant. Stalkers in the internet could use your information to destroy you as a person by making up malicious lies. A person who doesn't respect my privacy in the real world stalks me on the internet as well.

Ms. Achoo I'm relieved you slept early last night. Rest will do us both good. Ochh I was outraged as you know for a few days when I discovered it, then got tired of feeling that way, so I let it go. The problem I had was that the person you're referring to befriended the rest of us, but wasn't upfront about what she was doing as a friend. She was blunt and bold enough to make constructive criticism about my blog posts, I took it by the chin and yet she didn't have the nerve to own up to her pretence. How am I suppose to get to know a friend whom I don't really have a clue who she is? Since her posts consists of other blogger's personal blogs with their private accounts of their lives. At which point(s) was she being honest? I guess she was afraid to reveal that those weren't her posts and played along with the praises that were given to her. I felt cheated... as in you and I.

My problem is not even about my blog being open to the public. It's more simple yet made very complicated due to judgemental attitude.

Yes that's what occurred, she put her name under a song and poems and took credit for the praises due for other bloggers, in full view of FFF members. I suppose it's still present in another profile.

And to put a little humor to this claim, I'd say, the worse FALSE OWNERSHIP that I know of is to CLAIM SOMEONE's HUSBAND/WIFE to be his/hers.... (pardon my typos) This is what I wrote as a reaction a few days after it was discovered a few months ago with regards to who mah friend achtungbabyZ2 is talking about. Ignorance is indeed bliss when unaware of what’s going on. You aren’t what you appeared to be. Those numerous writers placed so much effort of their thoughts in their own words that they themselves are furious and offended by your claim. Claiming and taking credit for every word for word in each of their at least 24 posts written by 5 different bloggers outside of here as your own. I got tired counting, the number is beyond outrageous. Are you happy enough to allow someone to con you? As some have said, blogging is an extension of oneself. In the process of writing blogs, they’re expressing their identities. Probably, they felt that you have in essence stolen a small part of their identities as yours, falsely misrepresenting their lives as yours. In short, you can't claim to be who you are not. This is a matter of copyright issue that they’ve debated amongst themselves. They’re the ones whom you’ve to confront with their reactions. They’re far from amused and not flattered either. You aren’t dealing with amateurs; they’re passionate about their writings and wish to keep it in their possessions. Seeing this, I've learned that it's the risk which many other bloggers will have to accept reluctantly. Losing the right to what one writes in the worldwide web. Once you throw it out there in public, who knows what could and will happen without your acknowledgement and under a vague copywriting law? Nobody is totally safe unless blogs are frequently regulated. Additionally, rules exist to maintain a high morale and for the site owners to have some sense of control. When the standards are low, where’s the cut off point? It seems like we aren’t alone in this predicament, other forums also have their moments of tit-for-tat. Makes me wonder how internet is hazardous to our health. Lol Anything else you can think of about blogging etiquette, you’re welcome to comment.

Therefore there are many avenues to getting our personal information. I've found out that the stalker has been careless using my name and others in something I didn't agree to sign on the internet.

I can't imagine anyone is crazy enough to copy this style. Although my stalker does like to open my private letters and would love to see what's in my bank account.
