May take for granted

11/2/2009 1:44 pm
Things and people we could take for granted:

How great to have someone watching over us, to earn money, to be educated, to have life experiences count as education if you absorb its lessons and act to improve on them, to have the use of electric, have family members who like to love, spoil and help each other, a house to stay in, to be able to walk outside and have clean running water.

How about you?

everytime
i travel to communities
that are far away from home and
are without water and electricity
and all the comforts of home
really makes me realize (again and again)
how i take
family and things for granted

awwww so sweet. That's why I'm always thankful to each person including yourself, mom's cooking and her hard work, hon and his devotion, best friends, kiddos and many more.

We could fall into this trap, so we must keep our eyes open and absorb what we can learn from other people's hardship.

Sometimes, we take for granted the abundant food on our table..not mindful that millions of people only eat once a day...if not, starving at all...

Sad truth Ate Elsa. We really are spoilt for choice. That's why I'm wary about the amount of food I eat to avoid being a glutton and for health and vanity reasons, not to get fat.

I'm always grateful for my mom's home cooking. It's funny how cooks often think that someone else's food tastes better than theirs.
