A Nurse’s Prayer by Jill Eisnaugle Please grant me the stability To thrive where illness dwells With kindness and agility To care for those unwell So that I may share my passion When the patients need my touch Through everlasting compassion For the souls who yearn for much. Please grant me hope and laughter To uplift an ailing heart On this day and each one after So that I can do my part To assure the burdened loved ones Of each patient I shall see That I’ll do all which can be done To my best ability. Please grant me reassuring hands That soften o’er the years Give me a heart that understands The happiness and tears To better aid the ones in need Whose loads are much to bear So that wellness can take the lead – This is my Nurse’s Prayer. |
