- you are past your generation
- you have aged and becoming/became a senior citizen
- you have to pass your legacy
- you are not going back to being young again
- you recall the olden times as much
- you see the budding and next generation as different
- you keep recalling names and faces
- you either ask too many questions or none anymore
- you steadily become grumpier, grouchier, moody and forgetful
- you feel alone and very sensitive
- you become redundant and repetitive
- you keep saying when i was your age
- you don't easily resign from arguments
- you become more of what you aren't

the downside of being a granny..?
i have almost 3 more years before i turn 50...
pero ngayon, may instant apo na ako courtesy of Steve...
para tuloy may fear na ako..
but i do know i need to be enjoying every moment i have with Steve.. and not worry about tomorrow...
well, not yet, anyway..

noticed joyce, i have gotten to look like an old granny, with white/grey hairs in this pix with rene, which even shows, i look someone older than a senior citizen, without make-up, without those good dresses...but true enough, i can just laugh off what is in store because there is someone close, ready to understand and appease all that i could be saying and doing..he gets to be the real shock absorber to my adult tantrums and irritating behavior...lol!

it's really fun when you get to have those gifts
by not working hard and killing yourself anymore
those that can drop like manna from heaven
you get to smile because your monthly therapy has come...

then to be thinking too that you have his heart
you will not be alone and he runs at your beckon
if he could stay behind you would gladly go first
then again, you say whagt else could be in store.

I'm not sure whether to look forward to this. Either way it's going to happen. Beyond my control. Ageing is part of life after all.

Thanks very much for your honest perspective on this taJane.

we all go to it one day, janey...inevitable you can call it, probably it is the positive look that should make you feel light about the matter, plus the feeling and the grace in yourself, that you are continually young, although you kinda feel different about it...

I am (almost) speechless. A sense of sadness crept up.
Maybe for you, but more for me...a realization.

It's not really about growing old that is there to worry about but growing old "alone". When my daughter moved out to work in a hospital in our home city (which is about 2.5 -3 hours away), it hit me! SOon the two boys will move out too-- to build lives of their own. Hayzzz.

Teka nga, mapalitan na ang profile ko!

argue 4 ur limitations and true enough they are YOURS

that's another side of the story, growing up alone when you have no one to keep you company..it was kinda hard to accept i would be living alone without the kids then, but there was no choice but to be one confined to each four walls, each day and night...just need to get used to it...that was when i was still strong..with the onset of my heart ailment, not advisable to be alone anymore...so my only daughter moved in with me with his only son... lucky me, i have my guardian now plus, an outside caregiver, rene...lol!

Jane, I don't see any reason why you and Rene live in one roof now...What's the hold up? You look so good together..
