OVERCOMING THE LOSS OF A LOYAL PET

I know the feeling, Teng, because like Cecille, I am also an animal lover. It's alright for her to have a good cry to get those emotions out as it may be the only way to get over the loss of her feline companion. Actually, the best thing to do is talk about it more often. If you bottle something up, it can make you ill, disheartened and down in the dumps. Replacing a dead pet is not a fair stuff because no one can take away the special spot we have them in our lives.

When my Border Collie/Bernese Mountain dog passed away in 1998, my world fell apart for losing a best friend and a special someone who could understand what I went through the time I wanted to divulge about my real personification that I hid for 36 consecutive years. His unconditional love, authentic comradeship, loyalty, courage to stand by me and the way he offered his life for me touched my heart and my soul. He is still greatly missed and my seven-year-old son knows everything about my canine pet.

Please extend your sister my sincerest condolences. She's fortunate though to have a family like you who cares and comforts in her grief. Saludo ako sa iyo, Teng.
