COMPILATION ON FRIENDSHIP  

5/27/2006 10:26 pm Last Read: 1/28/2008 8:31 pm	FRIENDS --- make the world more beautiful when the sailing gets rough. --- reach for our hand, touch our heart and not afratid to stand by us. --- double our joy and cut our sorrow in half. --- pick us up, dust off the pain and push back our sagging spirit. --- give us the courage to lift the blinds on our hearts, to open up and show what we generally keep hidden from the rest of the world. --- give us security in knowing our secrets will be protected and will not be broadcast from the rooftops. --- give us the strength to stand up after we have been knocked to our knees. They offer a safe haven from the storms of life. --- put laughter in our hearts after we have been overwhelmed by grief. --- give us the inspiration to reach for our dreams. --- put a smile on our faces and a spring in our step. --- bring us back to earth if we get a little too full of ourselves. --- make each day a new beginning, filled with wonder and joy. --- stand up to our anger, our selfishness and shortcomings. They won't keep us in moral strait jacket. --- are ever willing to forgive us over and over and are not sarcastic. "Are you my genuine friend who won't drift away when my heart is in pain, when my world is empty, when my life is lonesome?"
