One day as a woman was sewing while sitting on the riverbank, her thimble fell into the river. When she cried out, the Lord appeared and asked,"Why are you crying?" The woman replied that her thimble had fallen into the water, and she needed the thimble to make her living. The Lord went down into the water and reappeared with a golden thimble. Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked. The woman replied, "No." The Lord again went down and came up with a wooden thimble. "Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked. Again, the woman replied, "No." The Lord went down again and came up with a silver thimble. "Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked. The woman replied, "Yes." The Lord was pleased with the woman's honesty and gave her all three thimbles to keep, and the seamstress went home happy. Some time later, the woman was walking with her husband along the riverbank when he fell into the river. She cried out, and the Lord again appeared and asked her, Why are you crying?" "Oh Lord, my husband has fallen into the water!" The Lord went down into the water and came up with Mel Gibson. "Is this your husband?" the Lord asked. "Yes," cried the woman. The Lord was furious. "You lied! That is an untruth!" The woman replied "Oh, forgive me, my Lord. It is a misunderstanding. You see, if I had said 'no' to Mel Gibson, you would have come up with TomCruise. Then if I said 'no' to him, you would have come up with my husband. Had I then said 'yes,'you would have given me all three. Lord, I am a poor woman and am not able to take care of all three husbands, so THAT'S why I said yes to Mel Gibson." The moral of this story is: Whenever a woman lies, it is for a good and honourable reason, and for the benefit of others. That's the story, and i'm sticking to it. Farewell! God knows when we shall meet again. |

Yehey!  very nice story indeed! YES! I agree, well we all lie sometimes , if it's a white lie .. it means whatever could be the reason, it must be w/ good intentions, & not merely to hurt others'...sometimes we need to lie to conceal something we felt like protecting ourselves, like our own privacy, ..right? yes everybody lie, but its not good to lie  all the times... Well, right now Im lying in my bed see?  hahaha AY!  iba pala yun noh? LOL!  joke '.. Uhmmm'...yan na nga po'..  pinapa smile lang po kita '..Mr. Lei '..hope ur ok na '...I really miss'.. u na po'..  my good friend ! take care & GOD BLESS U ALWAYS'...& GOD BLESS US ALL ! women lie because they have toooo... most of what a man wants to hear is what a woman will tell them but for the most part women are very good at hidind the truth in family situations if you want to know the real truth about women just be more affectionate and you'll be able to get her to open up in every way possible .....

She wants to make herself look good This type of lie is often told because it makes her seem more glamorous or successful. Although this might seem like a harmless attempt to make people like her, it can be a sign of a more devious personality.

If a woman thinks it is okay for her to lie, then why is not okay for a man? I think some females have a problem with what they think is okay in a relationship and what is not too.

While some lies have obvious causes and can therefore be dealt with in a straightforward way, other lies have much more elusive justifications that can make it difficult to know how to respond.
