A Lullaby Of Pain..

It's so painful to see her there,
lying on the bed crying,
She's hurting so bad there's no denying.

The baby so young and sound asleep,
in my heart my love for them is so deep.

I want to hold and comfort her,
and tell her everything's going to be alright.
I watch as she struggles to get up
and turn out the light.

She holds a picture and softly say's
why did you have to leave,
i miss you so much.

I lay my hand on her head
to caress her beautiful hair,
But i know she can't feel my touch,
'cos the pain went through
every inch of her heart.

A tear falls from my eye
as it's time for me to go,
I look at my little baby
and i say love you,
I'm the daddy you'll never know.

Farewell! God knows when we shall meet again.

Awwwww this is so sad but i really enjoyed this poem a lot.
This poem is so sad like i said
but it gives off everything your feeling.
Like you can't be there for the family you have gave away.
I mean seeing them crying
well, the wife and then having the baby never knowing
who her or his father is ever.
That must be really hard.
But you did an amazing job on this poem.
keep it up. keep on writing.
love always and forever.

haunting , and sad.

How sad this poem is,
really hard losing someone rather in death
or walking out on the family.
This reached into the heart
and stirred emotions as a good poem should.
..Awesome..

sadness is the blood that runs into a poem veins! Poets are those who never accepted the current situation and sang for the ideal ones! after all they are gifted in drawing live pictures just by their words and their feelings are always used as their ink! Nice piece bro Lickquid!

I must say...this is a very chilling poem.
i really like it and hope to see more stuff from you...
its very...touching...
the descriptions of her are so rich.
it was very easy to visualize.
so tragic.
i can't fathom how this experience would feel like.
this is a very good representation.

bro sulei, We gather strength from sadness and from pain
Each time we die we learn to live again.
Sad times, they're bound to pass.
The trick is to make the good times last..

It is a curious sensation:
the sort of pain that goes
mercifully beyond our powers of feeling.
When your heart is broken,
your boats are burned:
nothing matters any more.
It is the end of happiness
and the beginning of peace.
