What Goes Up, Must Come Down...

...He had more than once said that HE WILL RETIRE...But he kept going on, and on, and on. Twice in row, he was defeated. Last Saturday's fight, although I did not watch it, was bloody. Pacman was knocked out and fell, face down. It's something that no one expected. He is the Pride of Pinoys all over the world. His defeat doesn't mean he won't get the same respect and dignity we once accorded him. His defeat just plainly sends him the message to rest. Win or lose, he's $20M richer. What fame and fortune can do to any person! He wasn't satisfied with what he already had. And the people behind him wanted to make more money as well. He is a congressman, and he claims to be the Christian born again. You see, it's very hard to serve two or more Masters. But life is such, that people, simply are not satisfied. It's okay to retire a loser. He made us all proud for several years...We just don't want to see another Navarette...God, forbid..As always, there'll be someone much better. No one stays on top forever...What goes UP, must come DOWN.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely not only in government but also in ourselves. It's no longer the money that motivates Manny Pacquiao, it's his pride now that is consuming him. He can no longer accept the fact that he is not the best and that he is vulnerable. The loss and the way he lost is a wake up call. Whatever reason he gives to fight again comes from his ego not from his brain.

Of course this is just my personal opinion.

Elz,

I think of him as this caring man. He fought again for the people he will give money too. That's the main reason why he fought again. He just loves to give turkeys and money to the less fortunate. That's enough high to make anyone happy...

Greatest feelings in the world when two souls profess a love for each other...

Bestest Friend, Elena and Noli invited me to watch the fight at their house, but I declined. Not only that I am not really into boxing, but I already had the hunch that Pacman will lose the fight, and I hated the idea of seeing him defeated again.. but hey! those who bet for Marquez sure made a lot of money $$$$

Mr. AB, Pacman does have the tendency to be complacent...Even with the replays, I still didn't want to watch the fight...I guess, I couldn't bear seeing him down...I can just imagine how his mother felt at that time, other than fainting..

...TO which, I'd say, you are very entitled to, Bert...It works both ways...Pacman will do his best to avert his 2 consecutive losses, while his next opponents have already gained confidence, knowing that Manny CAN BE DEFEATED not only once, twice, but maybe more...Yes, it's about the PRIDE the next time around...I just hope and pray that he decides to fight his last...

Manny is being surrounded by millions of leeches. I will not argue that he has a kind and very generous heart. He has too many things going on in his life, it's just too overwhelming for him

Very seldom you see a boxer who humbly accepts defeat. He is one of them. I also pray that whatever earnings he had, he will put in/to good use.

And maybe by then, We, the Filipino people would have realized that Pacman is just like any other men....He is vulnerable, and he has limits. He will always be remembered for the good things that he had done and the honor he brought to the Philippines..

ELZ,

One of the seven deadly sin is GREED. That's all it was. In RAW. Manny wanted to be on top forever, but he's not GOD. Drown in his own pride and selfishness - it's an even harder fall the third time in a row. And hardest to those who love him.

Thank you!...Our Pains, will go away soon! And the pressure on Pacman's chest will be gone...Just too much expectations from the world and worst, from himself...Yes! sometimes, losing can be sweet..only if it means, ENOUGH is ENOUGH!

Reminds me of what my mom used to say about being politics and serving God don't mix well and you can't serve two masters.

Perhaps should've concentrated on boxing until he's retired then go on to politics.

within each one of us, and let it begin with me (and each one of us)..one breath at a time.

yesterday I watched one interview, so touching that made me also teary eyed although Jinkee didn`t say it, very obvious that her silent wish is for Manny to retire, and mommy D. is the one very emotional..

Manny is really good hearted guy, one garage of his house in Gensan is open for people who are needy, "like an oil that never runs out" supplying goods for the poor kababayans. His wife Jinkee is a good steward too with their assets, managing the Pacquiao group of companies"

Even though he didn`t win this time, he wud always be a the Champ and inspiration in Filipino
