Rubbing Elbows With The Big Shots


Life is a constant change, and those changes can be anything from physical, emotional, financial, and social status. My life is an open book (to those of you who've followed my blogs from the very beginning). My family (from my grandparents, parents, and relatives) has had quite a number of ups and downs in terms of social status. Although, we were not born with a silver spoon in our mouths, we experienced a very comfortable life prior to being really poor. By the grace of God, we utilized His gifts of wisdom, intelligence, and strong determination to slowly, but surely, get to where we are right now (meaning, having a comfortable life). It wasn't an easy ordeal for most of us. But good education paved the way to the fulfillment of our dreams. Whoever finished college first supported the others, and we've passed on that legacy to those who are committed to pursue their chosen careers. We simply ignored the bumpy and rough roads to success. And here we are, ever thankful to the Almighty for the opportunities He had given us. It's just a matter of taking those opportunities and convert them positively. Citing an example is my niece, Erma (most of you know her). She is one of my scholars who utilized her given talents and gifts to the fullest. She worked at FedEx first, then Philippine Stock Exchange, and with her height and brown beauty, got hired by the Emirates Airlines, married Kenan, whose family and relatives are dignitaries of Lebanon. Who would think that one day, she will be rubbing elbows with politicians and big shots? No one!...My point is, in our lifetime, we've been provided with tons of opportunities to improve the quality of our life. However, most of us just didn't grab them because we were (maybe, still are) preoccupied with the thought that we don't have the means...and we're STUCK!

 Just recently, Kenan and Erma attended the wedding of Vanessa Villareal and Ernest Herrera (son of former Senator, Ernesto Herrera) where they "rub elbows" with VP-Binay, Senators Jinggoy Estrada and Loren Legarda, as well as Cebu Governor Given Garcia and other Philippine politicians.

Erma is really fortunate to rub elbows with dignitaries. Awesome!!! While we just see them on the tele...

Yes, Tess. Even my Mark is the same. While he was vacation in Pinas, he mingled with celebrities like Jovie (?) Santa Maria, Patrick Guzman, and even Kuya Germ's protegees` at Starbucks...lolz...I am lucky, I mingle and rub elbows with friends like you...hehehehe..
