Mutual Understanding (MU) Part 1

And so, I think this is not the first time that I am blogging about MU, but one of my friends posted this cute image on my FB and I kinda thought, why not I blog about it again? ...Well, isn't it the FAD these days? No man tells you the "L" word, and so therefore, it's unofficial, and it's like you are a couple, but you're NOT! There is no end goal as to where the relationship is going. MU is an assumption that you have something together but this 'something' is not defined, so a relationship like this has no security, it could end or break anytime and abruptly because there's no real commitment, verbal or real agreement on this 'something' that both of you are supposed to have...So, the BIG question here is do we need to impose a "time limit" for the MU to either make or break? Let's say, okay, let's see if we can elevate it to the next level which is the "official GF/BF" thingie, or afterwards, just remain friends?..Oh! sure! Let's be friends, after you stole my cookie from the fragile jar...How's that? Someway, somehow, someone's gonna get hurt!

Bestest Friend, although I do NOT see myself, getting into this kind of mess, but God forbid, I become looney, and decide to do the "what the heck" thingie, I would like to impose the most 6 MONTHS limit..That should be enough time for the both of us to FEEL something deeper and elevate the matter to the official status. To me, anything more than 6 months, I need to be seen by the SHRINK already...Something ain't right UP there anymore!

Why? are we that calloused already that within 6 months, we're not able to gauge if we want something more concrete? or have we NOT seen, observed, tasted, and most of all "felt" that hey! this person is right for me!..? From a woman's point of view, this is how I see it...I know, MEN have theirs...Ahhh! freebies, freebies, and freedom..to rip, Rip, and RIP!

Elz,

I don't know what to say anymore. The questionable "why" did i have to meet this person. No logical sense at all. The 6 mos trial is about right. Suddenly break all to pieces. It's a lesson well learned. Sometimes love plays a cruel joke. Believing it's all wonderful and free. Then the end comes and all reality comes to the forfront that it wasn't real but a sublime lie...

Greatest feelings in the world when two souls profess a love for each other...

Oh well, we have a long way to be in the demented, senile, stage of being in the 80's... By that time, we don't even remember what "standards" are, but at least, we can still differentiate a MAN from a WOMAN, I hope? +))

Elz, I totally agree to the 6 mos rule, since it is also the duration where employees are said to have settled into their jobs and gained enough proficency.. I believe the same applies to relationships too... So, count me as one of your fellow believers in the 6 mos policy
Dess, parang "probationary period" lolz...tapos, regular employee na..

lolzzzzz...'di uso MU sa akin...
if i feel the guy is being extra nice and sweet...
i'll ask straight "are you courting me?"
more so in this time and age,
i won't go for non-verbal commitment..

This is ME...I don't need your approval...
