I Am Not Really Difficult...


Am I Picky? Yes! and why shouldn't I? First of all, I am a golden girl, and I am definitely not a COUGAR and that eliminates the younger men. So at my age right now, I have to be extra careful, you know. If I meet a SINGLE man, my age, I'd like to know why, he is still single after all these years. Who knows?..If a he is divorced, I'd like to know how and who caused the marriage to die. It also pays to know how many times he had been divorced (that'll tell me something). If he is a widower, I'd be interested to know how his ex-wife died ( this one makes sense ), and I wouldn't want him to treat me like her or expect me to be just "like her"...that's a BIG NO! I AM, who I AM, and will never take her place.

So, considering that all of that had been taken care of. I still have to deal with the fact that most MEN my age would prefer to have younger women (there goes the competition!), and without saying, since I eliminated the younger men, I'd be left with men who I consider too old for me (I hope they're not nearing 6-feet below the ground) ...Of course, I still have to check his background, and NO SMALL PLEASE! I'd like to spend the rest of my life as comfortable and less stressful as much as I could. I am done with baby-sitting. It's okay if the can take care of themselves. He must have a decent job, and it doesn't matter if he earns much less than I do. No Problem!

Now, having said all these, please don't tell me that I am difficult...The situation is!...I am just being practical, and I think, I am entitled to that. After all, I still have a good 20 some years to live...(hopefully, Godwilling)

 Elz,

No ur not difficult at all. You know what you want and that's a big plus. Practical, well you have too who's gonna pay the bills and whatever comes up. Kaya nga marriage should be handled like a business. Not, love. Look where it got me!!! Hindi basta basta na lang and go thru it. Then regret big time. No matter how many times i fall. Finally, learning whats right and wrong...

 hi Elz no i dont think that is being difficult. Its your life or your future life you should enjoy living it. You should have no burden to bear its time to enjoy you life. So, you should be able to find the person to live it with that you can enjoy living with. I cant think of any smileys to use . Well anyway i can understand what you are saying but its not easy.

 Your situation can be frustrating, which I'm sure comes as no surprise to you. It certainly doesn't help that guys around your age all seem to want younger girls, although there must still be quite a few who prefer women their age as well? Anyway, whatever the case may be, you know what you want so don't settle for less than that and just stay patient.

Even though you have been waiting a long while, there is still plenty of time for this mystery guy to show up. In the meantime, simply enjoy the blessed singleness ( I believe that was the term a blogger used ) that you find yourself ensconced in until the day love finds you once again.
