To MEN: Exactly What Do You Mean?


I don't know how many times I've been told by "MEN", that at my age right now, and being still SINGLE is such a WASTE. For what? Exactly, what do they mean by that? Do they pertain to NOT being sexually active or what? I don't get it! I don't feel like I've wasted my time after I became single (again),`coz as a matter of fact, I've been enjoying the freedom that goes with it. In what sense am I being such a "WASTE" then? I am not being arrogant nor hypocrite, but I am what I am right now, by choice, and by chance. It's not that I lost interest in men or relationships. I just didn't (and still haven't) find the right moment and the person. More than anything, I am not even searching. And how in the world will that happen? I don't chat, I don't date, and I don't entertain anyone who don't seem to present himself decent enough for me to be with. I don't JUMP into bed with anyone I know who liked me as well. I am conservative, and I belong to the old school. And I don't intend to change drastically, so I'll fit in. I received tons of emails giving me hints and approaches that I deem inappropriate, and it just stops right there. I am very quick to click the "ban or block" options here at FFF. But I am enjoying the friendships that I've gained from this site, men and women alike. I am living my life to the fullest. I focus and I am always grateful for what I have. Those that I lack don't make me feel less of a person that I should be.
Now, you tell me, AM I SUCH A WASTE?

 Another thing that I'm always told is that I AM RUNNING OUT OF TIME...Oh, okay...is there any contest or race when it comes to having a partner? Would you believe that I was only courted "formally and officially" with the "L" word maybe about 8 times here at FFF? The rest are so "FRESH", and ROUGH and TOO STRAIGHTFORWARD...It's like saying, I LIKE YOU, can we live together? or I LIKE YOU, and IF YOU LIKE ME, LET'S HIT IT OFF!...Sorry! ...I am NOT like that..I cannot be rushed, and I need to be swooned and wooed...

I don't know why men would say that. I would say "what a shame", a shame that no guy would enjoy intimate companionship or relationship with a lady of character.

Nobody runs out of time either. Everything has its reason and its season. Take your time, be well and enjoy what you are today.
I'm a senior citizen . Don't expect me to remember anything

 Elz,

I think you are living the life!!! Not a wasted time at all. You've been all over the world and enjoyed sharing with your family and friends. I applaud you in being extra careful with men. Who only want one thing only. Also, no one can't compare to the loved you've received from you know. We all want you to be happy with or without a man in your life.

Thanks Bert..I think, coming from a man with wisdom, I can only wish that those men who've thought of me otherwise, will have the same thought. I do have a lot to offer any decent man who can nurture a meaningful relationship. I am just being underestimated, and sometimes, overestimated and rated.

I know, sometimes, I get harsh on you because I don't want you to be making the same mistakes over again, but that's just because I do get frustrated each time I see you hurting again. It's okay NOT to be with someone. Enjoy life and pamper yourself. It doesn't have to be expensuve. You see, sometimes, I just drive around my place, go to the mall, or just take a walk in the park...There's so much happiness in the simple things, and you know men are not simple...They are complicated!...Just like they think, we are too!...Take time to smell the roses...or enjoy your coffee..Smile...It's okay...

Thanks so much. Always pray for you too, like today sa church. Been contemplating this weekend na just to chill. I've been gambling with love for so long now. Thinking this is it. God finally sent someone to love. Funny though never really happening. Love is really foolish. All your dear friends knows its wrong. But, the one in love just keep wishing. Being happy in the moment. Delusional of the outcome. And knowing perfectly well wala rin mapupuntahan. Dead end. So, gonna take a long vacation from love. And enjoy smelling the roses and my cup of coffee. Thanks for always being there

These holiday just been sleeping too much. Love it coz back to work tomorrow again and work like a dog. You'll be fine your clock will be back to normal in 3 days. Happy Memorial day
