The Best Way To A Man's Heart.....

Is it really true, that the best way to a man's heart is through his stomach?..So, no matter how huge and beautiful your kitchen is, if you don't know how to cook, then I guess, the guy needs a "bypass"......

But, seriously speaking, I do believe that women should learn how to cook and do it well. Some men are not meticulous about the taste of their wives' dishes, but it means a lot to them, that their partners make an effort to satisfy their taste buds. Who wants to go to expensive restaurants if there is this mouth-watering home-cooked food matched with tender loving care? What's with the finishing question: "What do you want after dinner, Honey?..Coffee? Tea? or Me? "

Although, the world's best chefs are male, I still believe that it is the role of every wife/partner to prepare food/meals regularly, if not, every once in a while... I learned to cook rice when I was 21 (no thanks to my Mom, since she never really allowed me to do that when I was a lot younger), but when I met my 's father, I was motivated to learn how to cook, by just reading cookbooks. And since I loved eating good food at the restaurants, I didn't have a hard time figuring out what're the ingredients on each dish. I experimented, and since then, I developed "critical taste"... Please ask those people who've tasted my cooking...Until now, they're still ALIVE....

Elz,

My family don't like my cooking. Ex-hubby would rather cook and buy take outs any day. Sad fact.

Which makes me wonder, Why is that? Is cooking really hard to do for others? or is there something wrong with their palates/taste buds? On the contrary, I know of some people who really have a different interpretation of the word DELICIOUS...As in, they say some food are super tasty, while I find them bland, and poisonous!

Thanks, Jeanny..If you see beyond that glass window is my other kitchen mostly referred to as "dirty kitchen" which I sometimes use when I fry fish or dried fish...because the house can "stink" anytime with any fish dish... Okay, I'm getting married then!

Completely agree on the second part of the blog.

He ain't fussy as long as it's edible. His favourite is spicy pasta with lots of vegetables, mince and cut up beef sausages.
