2011, A Year For A New Beginning....  It's been a tough 2010 for me. Lots of things and people came and went. Too much emotions..The MANY FACETS of ME have been tested to the max. It was very exhausting! It's time to say: " I had enough! " and it's time to move on to a new chapter in my life.... I am no longer at Facebook, first by choice, but eventually my account got hacked. Good riddance! When my , Mark, left the USA for UAE, a huge part of me went with him. But a huge part of his "responsibilities" he left with me. Situation at work hasn't been very favorable as well, because things had slowed down tremendously with the health care system in the valley. I've been living by myself, in a house I cannot call a home, a high maintenance abode. So what do I do? Come 2011, Godwilling, I will start a new life. I will finally let my go. He is old enough to manage his own life, and the lesser I know about what he does and not do, the more peace of mind I will achieve. I intend to sell my house, and leave the past behind as well as the bittersweet memories that happened here for the past 8 years. I'll move to a small apartment where I won't have to worry about maintenance. Along with that decision,means to move to a bigger city and find another job. Sounds like a BIG CHANGE, right? And you'll probably wonder how come romance is not in the picture?...Now, that's the BONUS!  Just call me ELZ  |

elz.. you were meant to be in New York. maybe the man of your dreams is waiting right here. i'm thinking the same. when my older son goes to college next year to follow his older sister, it will just be me and my special son and mom so we don't really need a big house. since i don't want to rent out and take care of maintenance, i'm planning to get a condo where they do the maintenance instead -- less stress.   ... only a REAL diamond has flaws.

Boss....... while reading, me too guess it's a " BIG CHANGE"... But for sure, what ever change you decide to make { Your New Year Resolution! ), it'll be wisely thought by yourself, and 'will make it happen', as you are a wonderful "Iron Woman". Besides, with my TX license, I can work in any of the 23 (or is it 24 now? ) Compact States, plus I also have a license to work in FLorida...I'm thinking California as well, but, the better choices will be in either San Antonio or Houston... Just call me ELZ

Elz, Great idea for 2011. I wish to venture out too. But, for now no choice. Either way am happy as a lark. Thanking God always for the blessings. Keep us up to date, ok.  Greatest feelings in the world when two souls profess a love for each other...

this is really a big step... but you should rent your house...so someday when you retired you have enough money to pay the care home since you don't wanna go home... for sure you have a good retirement from your SS but we can't sure 100% for USA loves to go to war and they might use our money and cut our retirement... think before you sale your house...having a house is a big investment... love is the greatest gift of all

Yes, our children do not belong to us, my friend...They have their own lives to live, and how they run it, is really up to them.Guidance for them is also up to a certain extent. It is sad, but staying in touch, sometimes, is very hard to do...I need to recover MYSELF, somehow, and find myself because most of the time, I've been self-less..All that mattered to me at some point are my loved ones..Now, it's going to be all about me... My house was built in 1995, and it was formerly owned by another Filipino couple who relocated to California. Lots of reasons why I need to move out, and high maintenance is one of them..Besides, it's big for someone like me. It takes a lot of my time to clean. I spent too much for the roof, the fence, the plumbing, and lately for the brand new HVAC unit that was installed. It is NOT practical to stay here. Besides, like I said, bitter memories must be left behind here. New Year, New life, new place, new job and God knows, what else...Losing out on money is nothing new to me. The good thing is that I've lived here comfortably for the past 8 years. Just call me ELZ
