When The Going Gets Rough......


Probably, this is my loneliest and emptiest Christmas ever here in the USA since 1991, but from New York City to McAllen, Texas, there's this one very special lady and my very Best Friend who always cheers me up, and never fails to lend a helping hand and shoulder to cry on when the going gets rough for me. I've been through a lot in my life, and I thank GOD that I never resorted to drinking, drugs, nor subjected myself to the "shrink" and never had to swallow any "happy pill." I weathered all sorts of storms, mostly by myself, but oftentimes with ELENA and her family. Through good times and bad, the door to her house is always open for me, despite her unforgiving work schedule, as well as being a very busy grandmother...This Christmas Season, my very special friendship with her for almost 20 years, will once again be proven...I always remember the Priest's sermon in church when I was a lot younger. He said: "In this life, you only need ONE TRUE FRIEND...And you are lucky if you find one"...I did! and I found not only one, but more! This is good enough reason to cheer up...Come Christmas Eve, I will be at their home. She will not allow me to be by myself...Not, when I am feeling blue...I am so much blessed with her friendship..

 .. it is always good to have one very good friend who you can 'abuse' lolz i always use this saying to my good friend when she starts to 'complain' -- "what are friends for but to be abused."
... only a REAL diamond has flaws.

...So far, I have not abused ELena (yet), but she's more than my best friend. She's more than my own sister. I have not lived with any of my siblings or be near them for this much time...

IT is in fact very touching that I found quite a bit of wonderful people I consider friends and "adoptive" families here in FFF...THat is why, I am still here...It means a lot to me...
