It would be nice to have mind-stimulating exchanges my dear...For a change ...and oh, Janey, you better think a million times before you take the plunge...
Sure will. We've already considered marriage as an option.

More of an option though rather than a must.
We still both lived with our parents and are happy this way.

Being a woman of course I dream of it, but dreams aren't always the same as reality. Dreams also can become nightmares.

Meaning, still with high appraisal?...hahahahaha!...Jeffrey, what about the long term "premarital __" ?, I hate to say this, but you know, we liken marriage to clothes: "Consumers keep on fitting them, one after the other before they decide to buy or not"...And the worse part is...some clothes get worn out, having been fitted by too many and yet, no one wants to buy, specially if there are "smears and tears" around it...
Don't know why. "Smears and tears" sounds yucckky.

Manny, being the Modern Maria Clara that I am, even if I am mostly conservative, it does enter my mind to consider that arrangement, specially if I am not convinced that marriage is the best thing to have with the person that I care about...But, that's just one of my thoughts...I still prefer to be legal......And I support those who believe in that arrangement...because I've seen couples who aren't married and yet, they are still together until now, compared to those who tied the knot officially with all the trimmings...
This is what attracts my bf to the idea that we don't have to be married to be in a long relationship because famous couples Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have been together for 25 years with children.

"I wake up every day knowing I can walk out at any moment", Goldie Hawn said. "It [that knowledge] that keeps things fresh."

Sweetie, I'm not sure if people who've been wed even remember their vows, or were even sincere when they took the vows...I hope it's NOT all about the trimmings, glamour and the pleasure and pride of being married...Of course, everyone wants to be married for the rest of their lives...I just don't know if ALL agree to be married to the same person..
I want to be married with the same person for life. I've only considered marriage now this year.

It's nice to know that women nowadays are more vocal with what they need and want and what their thought are. Nevertheless, we should also think what our kids will say or what the effects are to the children. Now the question is ' What happened to till death do us part?' ? The idea is good but not ideal or will work for everyone.

JEAN...increasingly as years go by men and women are becoming liberalized or openminded when it comes to open relationship...so many men and women are becoming more adventurous to their chosen relationship or alternative lifestyle...in the old days it was a taboo...

But, Ondong, Jeffrey, everyone has his/her own definition of LOVE...Remember that most of us cannot definitely tell if it's TRUE LOVE or NOT, until it is OVER...If we base it on the present situation, I tell you, with all the sparks and hormones flying, who wouldn't call it LOVE?
ELZ...m going into heavy relationship coz both of us have the ability to accept our imperfection as partners in crime...love may or will grow as days go by...men and women are all different in every aspect of a relationship...true love is a long term goals...

Jeff, it can work one way or another...One thing I'd probably suggest to the LawMakers and that is to PUT A CLAUSE on the marriage contract, making this EXPIRATION as an OPTION...But that's just me...It's like a checklist, you know, you either put a check on the box or put a N/A for NOT APPLICABLE...And that, of course applies to those who don't intend to have the EXPIRATION and would rather take chances on their marriage and KEEP it the way it should be...And if by any chance, something goes wrong, then, they can OPT for the annulment or divorce...NO SHORTCUTS...What do you think, folks?

Oh no! ...Not that kind of smear my dear, that is really yucky! ...What I meant is the smears coming from lipsticks, make up foundations that "fitters" put on the clothes in the process of trying them on...and at times, when they don't have the right size, they tear and "rip" the clothes...

In that case and with that proposition, I can see marriage being perceived as an institution with a very strong foundation, that of LOVE, TRUST, and LOYALTY, coupled with FRIENDSHIP and COMMITMENT...It's like the established commercial companies...BUILT FOR LIFE...
