Next Stop: NEW YORK CITY

First of all, let me join the New Yorkers in their celebration as the New York YANKEES won again the World Series 2009 Baseball Championships.....Hep! hep! Hurray!...Well, I used to watch them religiously each and every game they had...just like I did with the now "forgotten" New York KNICKS.....Ahhhh! those were the days...I lived in NYC (Bronx, NY) for more than 11 years, and I tell you, those were my most memorable years here in the USA...I revisited the City that doesn't sleep last December, 2004 with my only child, and that was that...Now, this coming November 13-16, 2009, I will see my old friends, former co-workers, and maybe a couple of FFF members (like virginnose and maybe Sense_Of_Honey) during the short visit...Ahhh! I'm very excited...I'd like to FEEL that I'm really in America, once more......Living here in South Texas is quiet, and warm (too hot during summertime), and it FEELs good to be at HOME again...yeah, NYC will always be my home. I cannot tell for sure, if this is going to be my final trip for the year 2009...Might visit Las Vegas again before the year ends.....Life, is indeed short...We must make the most out of it......I DO!

(By the way, the picture here was taken in July 1991 (Rockefeller, Manhattan) )

NYC top of my travel list now that I have a couple of friends that have decided to make it their residing state, along with Orlando as far domestic travel goes. Last time I was there was enroute to NJ so never really got to do the tourist deal. Vegas count down starts now got 22 hours till take off Yipiiiii Staying at Tahiti Village resort and will be partying at club XS at the encore Saturday night, want to Rendezvous???? Friday I'm booked

Your right life is too short! as the reality of it hit me like a 18 wheeler when my 28 year old sister passed away just 3 months ago. And it is one of the reason now I'm really trying to travel when I can financially afford it. Well sounds like you got the rest of the year cut out for you! happy travelling

"See how I looked like some 18 years ago as compared to now?"
Yup thats the look of a distinguised, successfull, pampered, spoiled brat young lady .

Ohhhh wish it was this time last year, I could've met more friends.

Safe trip and enjoy. Please say hi and hugs to V and Honey from me.

Rockefeller looks pretty much the same. It's really a city that never sleeps. It's quite a noisy and buzzing for the whole day, non-stop traffic and cars beeping at each other all day long. With people working at least 2 jobs to pay for their expensive homes and lifestyle. Food places etc open nearly the whole day. ayayayay madness.

while you are in new york, i am in texas enjoying the company of my kids and grandkids. you still have not experience how it is to have grandkids. i hope so you would one day. its a great feeling to be a grandad.

i will be in texas this tuesday night until sunday night, nov 10 to nov 15.

i still have places to travel this year. so i am really book for the holiday. if you are one of those that i would consider (which is likely too remote) to love, then you must wait until after the holiday.

good luck to your endeavor in new york. hopefully you find him there or he finds you there. so your restless soul could find a niche and then be totally happy!

My lovely friend, ROXY...it's one of the year end trip, you know...I started the year traveling to your state in Jacksonville, Florida on New Year's Day this year, and so far, I've 5 major travels since then, plus the intercities...I guess, they say, what you do on New Year's day, you'll keep doing the rest of the year, and I believe I am living up to it...Special Someone?...I'm not really searching! ...They find me! , but then, I run away from them

..u definitly hit home on this one (literally)

nice to see the good word for my beloved YANKEES...i know my life has been shortened by a few yrs just from this sesaon of drama alone, but i wouldnt trade those lost yrs for anything...and we finally did it again (8 dry seasons of misery) pays off ....oh did i say another one....27th one to be exact.... all hard fought for between the lines, no matter what we pay them...ya still have to preform under the most intence pressure any athlete will ever endure in any sport, there is playing for a professional sports team, then thier is playing for the "yankees" no pressure like it... ...love them ....its keeps me feeling like a little boy...lol

any way ELZ, knowing u spent many yrs in the "big apple" i dont have to advise u where to go, maybe just some real quick advice, the pic ur in as u have said is rockafeller center right in the 40th st and 5th ave area...ur about 12 blocks frm one of the best pizza joints in the city (although i do love them all) "rays" pizza is on 7th and about 50th street ..please come home and tell me ya had a slice or two...

and if you so happen to get into the flatbush sec of Brooklyn, look for the irish/italian neighborhood and ask for the name "Manico" ...LOL

enjoy elz..and tell ur buddies to stick by you while thier there...lol

the Grand Concourse, brings back good memories..havent heard anyone mention it for a long time....as u know Yankee stadium is just off the grand concourse and 161st street....i miss all of NYC, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhatten, Bronx and Staten island... all five burroughs have that something unique and special about them..yes even staten island ...lol

to tell u the truth in past 5 or 6 yrs now, ive just been home for funerals...so sad to think i can only get there for those , its sad of course, but it does bring the family together like no other time could..im not trying to be funny but funerals are the next best thing to a family reunion...

im envious of u and the way u are doing the things that u've desired to do...there is nothing like traveling to places u love...and now your going to where my heart is and will always be no matter how far i rome..."NYC"...id luv to go , and soon i will, ya know funerals are never ending the older u get ...LOL..so im sure it wont be long before i get that dreaded long distance phone call frm home...oh well thats life ...one of these days ill make the effort to just go for the sake of going ...

thanks for the invite elz..i take it very serious believe me..and u have got me thinking..

I'd no network coverage there. I'd to borrow my friend's mobile phone at the time and use public phones.

Lovey-dovey is doing good. Although, I want him to go check something out and go to the doctor because he has pains somewhere.
