Why Do People Attend EB (Eye Ball)?

 (Eye Ball) EB: What's the real motive(s) for holding it? In all honesty, the reason why I attend EB's is for me to see and get to know the real people behind those "boxed" pictures that I see everytime I log on to FFF. I also have no special preference, be it more of women than men or vice-versa...I just know I have this urge to meet them as friends, of course, after a long period of "cyber-bonding" . Maybe, I'm still naive about this EB thingie you know, because NOW, I know for a fact that quite a few people attend this gathering in the hope to find someone to hook up with it, whatever the intentions are (pure or with hidden agenda). I had just concluded a very successful Eye Ball in San Francisco, California, and Lordie-Lordie!...Someone from FFF (not necessarily from my group, FEEL ) , was actually very "disappointed" and maybe,I can tell why...  ...Is it because for every penny that person spent is considered a "form of investment" that needs to have a surmountable return? or is it because that person thinks that at last, s/he will get hooked up and finally the "realization" of that elusive dream will finally come true? (Ano siya? Sinuswerte? )...  ...Ahhhh! Me and my Big mouth, err, my being so "blunt". ..I just had to write this one...For me, no matter how a person tries to overcome his/her "bad" natural tendencies, they'll show up just as quick as soon as that person counts the losses s/he incurred....What can I say?...Up to this very minute, I trust my same old "instinct"...It never fails me...

hi elz...  I expect a lot of reactions for this blog of yours  to share my opinion.. sometimes, just because the EB happens out of bonding from this site, to some it follows that those going to the EB are mostly single people looking for someone to be matched with. Nothing bad about that...but no reason to be grumpy too, if it doesnt happen.. like we often say, it can be a miss or a hit. If its a hit and you get to have the chance to bond with someone, lucky for you... if a miss, dont fret coz you gained friends...

If its a hit and you get to have the chance to bond with someone, lucky for you... if a miss, dont fret coz you gained friends... ...I know that in RP, you've attended several EB's and that each of them, you've truly bonded with friends as well...And you are right..A group EB is one way of bonding with inet friends, and there is nothing wrong to assume that people hope to be matched with that special someone they like or being teased with...But if members dish money out or spend either to "impress" or for the purpose of getting hooked up with, and in the end fails...that person has no reason for sour graping...

hmm i spend money, time and drove you guys around and i didn't get anything in return except that magical moments of dancing and stuff. heck i was loaded with food too and i gain some lbs i think. plus breakfast served barely partially by you! but so are you and jeff for your plane tickets. that would cost more than i have spent. hmmm i think i made a comment on our FEEL's thread that i was indeed disappointed. but i was disappointed because it was too short for a great time. whose hand it is touching your shoulder? is it mine? how did it get there? thanks for the wonderful memories ELZ. but who really was disappointed? it is another fallacy of assumption? hmm what do you mean that i am selectively generous? it was because i didn't give you my share for the second night of outing. but please spare me, others should spend their money too! here how much i spent? gas, time, dinner, lunch, coffee, hotel, and tolls and parking. should i tell you how much it is ELZ? did i attend the EB expecting something? heck yes but not what others are thinking, too hook up? it would not that EZ for me to hook with anyone! eb or not eb!

I like having EBs, every EB is magical considering how people become friends first before that personal encounter ... no words can express the ultimate delight in meeting people with whom we have grown to like and develop a special closeness & kindred spirit! In my case before I agree to an EB I should 'FeeL GOOD' about the person, if my instincts say otherwise I wouldn't give it a thought at all! When I low my friends et al give me energy.

hmmmm...guess i am late here hmmm...hmmm...hmmm... look at the picture elz is like...iskerd  is she reciting ..."noli me tangere?" ok...will behave now  EB to me is a very nice and memorable and enjoyable experience  ...it feels good to meet in real, the people behind those handles ...though, not all the people u met will become ur good friends...but then, still u increase ur number of friends in the long run...u will meet different kind of people with different agenda, that is true ...i met lots of women chatters...and some men too who are already,either sweethearts or hubbies of the women chatters ...nice!...and...elz, that one u mentioned about treating the EB as investment??? MY guess is as good as MINE  , all mine ...that is also true, saw that happened here and he's pinoy  (from there too! )...now i wonder, why are SOME pinoy act like that...mayayabang ! ...bragging about what he paid for the food DUH! as if we can't buy ourselves food??? here when we have EBs, it's automatically DUTCH treat...so no problem...then there will be these mayabangs, showing off and then after that will tsismis what and how much etc etc etc he spend? ...but u know, that's only one of the glitches of the EBs...most of the time it's fun, fun, fun bcoz we EB people who are really really are acquainted with us...the likes of pinoylover, and many more which i am not gonna squeal here  ...yes, we've met manny and he's cool...and harmless  (maybe bcoz he's taken )...that's one more good thing, to meet a guy who is taken is better than meeting a guy who is looking ...but then again, am not being picky toinkz!!!there are guys naman who are real gentleman (even if they are on a looking mode) ...and i admire them for not being a...kiss and tell re: how much he spend, this..and that...bla bla bla... DUH!!!and that is...after he volunteered??? naku! elz darling, ang haba ng story ko punta cemetery tom tulugan na   i'm like a bird!

EB's is good and really fun basta wag lang magiging exagerated yung iba kase for gossip and pintasan ang reason why they attended the EB's kaya pagdating sa chat room away na and it gives me a lesson to become so picky when meeting othersbut,,,,i cross my fingers to meet you soon Elz  happy halloweeeennnnnnnn to all of you there Teach yourself to speak slowly but think quickly.

Yeah, I dig you about EB's and I'm sure, you've met tons of peeps from FFFlandia and other websites...I also know that it is better to EB in a group as it is really safer and you'll get more friends to interact with. Siguro, if I were there in Pinas, probably, every time I get the chance to meet inet friends, I will grab the opportunity, kasi that's the only way I can socialize...Loner kasi ako in real life. Sa EB sa pinas Elz, at least doon sa nag-attend ako, there were a lot of generous members who gave more from their pocket, willingly and sincerely, para macover yung iba na gustong mag-attend pero short sa budget ( it happens..). And I think may paraan naman sila kung paano nalalaman who gets to be included sa generosity ng iba. One time I attended one, and I was ready to give my share, pero I was told, covered na ng funds ng group...so, happy ang lahat. I do what I can AMS, but I won't go beyond what I can afford. I wouldn't like to be called "kuripot" but I can't be a one day millionaire too. At any rate, I still keep that BOY SCOUT spirit in me, and I certainly would feel uncomfortable if my lady date foots the bill. A total NO-NO for me!
