And they say I am too picky?..What's wrong with that? It's my dream, it's my choice, and most of all, IT'S MY LIFE! Definitely, there is NO PERFECT MAN...I understand that, but that doesn't mean that I'll just go for ANY MAN either. Men come and go, and some of them are plain forgettable, others are lovable, and quite a few are keep-able (my own terminology), and then again, there are tons of BUTs. That is, if he is here, as a member of FFF. Why is that? Can't you see, this is the place where a good number of members (including myself) are not WHOLE. Meaning, most searchers (ahhhh! holy crap! I don't believe it when SINGLE people say that they are here but are NOT searching, at least at some point)EXPECT that a special someone is out here to fix and complete them. What I'm saying is, how can we have such an unreasonable expectation? Shouldn't we FIX ourselves first, present ourselves as close to being a whole, and then, allow the other person to complement us? It took me a very long time to decide that hey!...I'm ready to give love a chance again, only because I think it'd be unfair to the other person if I give him all that tasks and responsibility to fix me. And I believe that only US, can fix US, eventually, with or without outside help. And I don't mean to offend my co-FFF members here, but come on, majority of us are likened to broken jars (although qualities differ, I must honestly say). I do believe in my heart, that before we even think of getting seriously involved with someone here (if it has to be here)then, I suggest we assess ourselves: ARE WE "FIXED" ENOUGH TO COMPLEMENT ANOTHER? In my case, I waited long enough to fix myself, then, waited for that "appropriate" person to come along (not the Perfect/Mr. Right). Modesty aside, I met quite a number of good men as I took the roads less traveled. Some of them became my acquaintances, a few found their love, a couple became my friends, and the rest were placed in the "shredder box", probably, in the same manner that I may have been placed in a similar fashion. So, am I searching? Am I waiting? Is he here, or out there?..It doesn't really matter, but I'm sure...HE IS WORTH THE LONG WAIT... Just call me ELZ, click eb1209 |

i agree with what you said about being whole first before starting a new relationship, otherwise your excess baggage will drag you down even if you found a great partner. but i believe some members here who say they're not looking for love at the moment. some people go to this site to heal some wounds, to hide from a painful past, or to express feelings that they dont want friends and family to know about...
