I have seen so many disrespectful school kids in Jersey City to last me a lifetime. If this is a preview of future adults this side of America, I shudder with revulsion. They do not know how to respect elders, females, nor themselves. There are exceptions ofcourse, but not a lot.

Sorry about this.

they, meaning the gov't., should give back to the parents the right to discipline their kids again, that's what i think is necessary...kids nowadays even threaten their parents about calling the cops if the parents are trying to discipline them..

i will need to agree with you...
a sad observation, but kids there tend to overpower their elders.
Kids, when they are still very young need to be taught to recognize authority over them...
although i also believe respect should be learned not out of fear but out of genuine understanding of the word RESPECT...

pretty..how r u? your blog made me very thankful my brother raised two great kids who are now in their 20's. they've been in VA since they were about 3 & 5, i think. however, my brother and his wife saw to it that Filipino values are strongly inculcated in their values. hey, they even say po & opo.

Jersey City has always been know for violence and the home of a few Mafia families in my youth. I suppose it is all black and Puerto Rican now.

Thanks for your email and yes, my real name is Donald Andrew McK. My grandparent's on my Dad's side immigrated to America from Glasgow, Scotland.

Is your real name virginnose?

ALWAYS be careful and safe dear, and root for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Show me a child WITHOUT a male role model in their daily life amd I'll show you a child that becomes disrespectful, undisciplined and becomes a BURDEN upon society.

That's the #1 problem in America's inner cities, no male role models for kids.

The government can't do much about that either, it can only be accomplished by men that take responsibility for their actions.

woofie...u are absolutely right! that's why men who devote their lives to raising good kids oughta be applauded.

i truly think that the key to good kids, good families, good societies...are good responsible men doing their part effectively.

in their absence..ofcors women gotta do the job right.
