Bread Battle in Egypt!

The Egyptians are again struggling for a piece of bread! some are poor, some have money, but the government couldn't provide people with bread, even when used the army bakeries to produce more bread to Egyptian people! The sad story and worst example of it, when a man went to bring some bread for his , and after standing for hours waiting for his turn, he got nothing! Eventually the guy went to the nearest shop and bought some spaghetti and walked back home. he told his wife that spaghetti all what he could get for the ! When his wife cooked the spaghetti and almost finished, he went secretly to the kitchen, and added some poison stuff to the meal! few minutes later, the mother and all were dead and the father was taken to the hospital with the rest of the family but was still alive! He was screaming at the doctors because they saved his life after all his family is gone to heaven!

Hello, friend, Sulei! ...If this is true, gosh! it is horrible!...The Filipinos have shortage of rice production and are now importing rice from other countries....Egyptians are struggling for bread? How symbolic is bread to them? Is it worth taking the lives of loved ones and his own?

Just call me ELZ

hello Elsa, nice to see you back here! yes, bread is very important in the middle east in general, like, if there is no bread on the dinning table, there is no food, no matter what all sort of food is there! it is more or less similar to the importance of rice to Asians!

that is very true bro moses! our part of the world was very rich in agriculture but now one of the poorest areas! and it is only 8 countries out of the 22 that is exporting oil, whereas the rest is struggling for a piece of bread as u see!

thus, the poor becomes poorer, and the rich becomes richer with the price of oil exceeding 100 dollar!

Rob, I don't know if you ever visited Egypt or not yet, but to elaborate on that, the lake of Nasser at the very south end of Egypt near the Sudanese borders, contains lots of water, and the Nile River goes from there until Cairo, which is about 850 KM. through which all agricultural planted around the Nile all throw the way! but if u put the Nile aside, there is no life of whatsoever in other places except some small areas at the Mediterranean Sea! In spite of that, all the production is not enough! Egypt import all the wheat from the US and Australia! though they plant lots of rice too. but the reserve the government usually has, is hard enough for more than 2 weeks! the problem of middle east countries, that prices have gone up in most countries here up to 25-35% only during the first 3 months of 2008, whereas the increase of the people income to face that is not even reaching 10% at the best cases! that is all due to the madly high prices of the oil exceeding 100 $ and all other products related to that!

hello Ms.Possible!
well, things wont remain so bad until end of May! Gover't wont allow it! Weather in Egypt is nice in April and May, it might be a bit hot end of May, but still nicer than July, August and September! and also Cairo would be less crowded! When doing touring, it is safe! the tourist police normally take care of tourists. depends on how many people u r all together and whether u would want to go to other places other than Cairo or just remain around the Capital. I might be of a great help to advise if further needed. so, don't hesitate to contact me if u like! thanks for visiting my blogland!
