Where do You Belong

I can admit that the generation today
Evolved with newer or newest technology
That those belonging in earlier decades
Are kinda slow in coping pacing even in difficulty.

In my college years computer operations was in
We got introduced to computer parts its many uses
Operations was typing a button using a keyboard
Easy to_ understand and control as one chooses.

IBM, UNIVAC, NCR are the main leads of the revolution
Other companies later on developed personal computers
Which presaged the entry of home or desktop equipment
Later on updated to what we use as laptops and tablets.

I began using the typewriter to_ make my manuscripts
Bought a desktop computer to_ match the times
With a printer or copier duplication was peanuts
Came the fax machine making sending in minutes.

Early 30's had access to_ telephones and televisions
Believe the internet got developed by a Baby_ Boomer
A software language was a precursor and used in 1989
So history of modern technology is not a Millenial credit.

Many changes emerged today as brought in by Millenials
They were the adopters and what we the innovators
The marketers and wide users of these new advancement.
Albeit the Baby_ Boomers were the real and true influencers.

I am truly lost in this new envirnment changing rapidly
The cellphones are being used for cashless transactions
Cards being replaced for money digital processes for all
Even diagnosis for ailments go through same_technology.

Automation is so advanced that sooner lessens labor
I still stick to manual works in converting convenience
Nothing closer to_ genuine taste of food from the grounds
I patronize eating what's organic am this scared of GMO's.

Are you believing technology has it tolls? Are you one who wants to be first buying a new invention?

To a certain degree, the high technology made it easier for mankind to communicate within split seconds (facetime, video calls), and it also made possible ordering stuff online and be delivered fast. These and many more perks of the ultra modern world...But, there are a lot of disadvantages though and the most that I noticed is that families gather around the table and are still using the gadgets. The human touch is getting less and less, and students get everything from google instead of studying hard and retain the information..Now, once the internet is down, and so does the brain stops working.

so true..in all houses even if members of family are gathered in one room, you will notice each one busy with their gadgets, either updating on social media or playing games..no more personal interactions..the lack of initiative to ideate or maybe even think and be original is hardly a task because google and other search engines are easily accessible...more often homeworks of students are done as copy pasted..when the internet is down, surely there will be no life for most...lol..my take on orders online, you get the wrong concept of the material you want to purchase because the visual aspect and inspection is absent..hardly do I do it, since i am lazy to make returns when am not happy with the product., i just consider it a lost or useless purchase..

And I really want to see what I want to buy...Only during pandemic I was forced to buy stuff online, but since most stores in Texas are open, I go and see the merchandise personally
